Looks looks Tropi have announced they are basically turning into a food venue and will move events to tropicana due to licence laws. Could be good and bad for them

PLEASE READ: I can now officially tell you all that Tropi Trance Bar will not be open for the 2018 season, the strict new laws for the west end have made us make this very hard decision. But on a very positive note I will be moving across the road to be working each night in Tropicana..... We will be hosting there TRANCE-FORMATION every Thursday night from the 5th July so I’m excited to see all my Tropi friends & trance lovers at each of these events. Love you all and Caaaaaaaamon!!!! Oscar x

UPDATE: terraces till midnight!
ANOTHER UPDATE: the del mar street (where sgt peppers used to be) won't be affected by the new rules!

[these two seem to be the only changes, the rest continues the same... including closing earlier]

according to the local tv TEF, some west end bar owners had a meeting with the consell insular today but, as expected, there's nothing they can do as it's san an's local council who dedices!

What bars are on the Del Mar Street?

Im kinda torn on this. On one hand i lament the loss of the west end as we know it, which for all its ills for most who visited and had a drink there was innocent fun and and entry level point into ibiza for many island visitors who would later go on to visit and spend money elsewhere on the island for years to come.

On the other hand its been long derided by most visitors to the island and those on the island, locals and long term residents, as being a cheap and nasty hole full of pissed up brits being a complete nuisance. You can't really blame the local people for having had enough wanting to clean it up. Would you really want the West End a few streets away from you in your own home town?
