Paradise at Dc10

To be honest, it was so busy last August that despite the excellent line-up, everyone I was with had had enough by about 3am (and that was with some of us being able to get backstage).

Being a huge fan of Ame in particular July 6 and August 24 look best to me. But i also do see a whole lot of Guy Gerber and the Black Madonna! She is awesome so i hope people who haven't heard much of her will check her out and enjoy.

Black Madonna is amazing!
I still haven't booked my flight yet, as I'm waiting for space closing to be announced. but, I think it's safe to say I'll be around for the closing. in which case, I'm definetly happy about mood 2 swing and kink.
also wondering who the special guest will be...

I think she is paving her way and deservedly so, have been seeing her in New York for a long time now with the likes of Mike Servito for example and she is a REAL dj. She can play any style and reallly knows how to move a room. Side note - i wish i had the luxury to fly out for a weekend to pick and choose a lineup but that closing paradise looks real nice.

It sucks that this has become a decision maker for nights but i couldnt agree with the feeling any more. Its honestly become part of my process in deciding whether to hit up a party at home or elsewhere as i just cant take being a sardine these days. You almost have to give the 'huge' nights a pass to get your space. I still think Paradise beats out Hyte most nights as far as being more interesting, but given the opportunity i might actually visit Hyte just for opportunity to move about.

Danny Tenaglia! always wanted to experience a set of his.

Is this a young crowd? wondering as a 40yr old i will be standing out like dogs balls.lol

Saw her on NYD at pbar, and she worked magic in that room. Mike Servito is another favourite of mine (I'm really into Bunker NY), but I don't really get to see enough american DJ's, unless I fly out.

Paradise does have a younger (and more British) crowd, but we were all mid to late 30s when we went last year and didn't feel too out of place.

Agree about The Black Madonna - one of my favourites too, so very happy that she's playing Space on Sunday 7 August, along with the also excellent Denis Sulta. Still not seen Mike Servito but hopefully will do soon as his mixes are so good.

What's the crowd / vibe / atmosphere like at Paradise? Line up when I'm there is spot on for me, but going by how rammed DC10 (circoloco) gets and in my opinion lack of atmosphere, visits to DC10 aren't always top priority for me. I am keen given the line up though, help a lad out make an informed decision ;).

It'll be rammo (probably uncomfortable so at times), and predominantly young, British and Brit workers. Still a good night if you've got the tolerance for all that carry on.

Those line-ups are incredible though (The Black Madonna!!). Don't wanna talk you out of it. I'd most likely end up there on a Wednesday.

I just know from looking at the calendar that we'll end up out 4 or 5 nights on the trot in the first week, we say every visit we won't do that 'this year', fail every time.

I have the same problem every summer. every year in march I think I'll have a quieter summer, do more early nights and do other stuff instead of clubbing. then april comes, the line ups come out and by mid may I'm aware I most probably won't have more quiet nights in than I had the year before. just too many good things happening!

I think it's mostly the terrace that is rammed, the inside is not that packed, but I remember last year it got insanely hot in there... maybe they turned off the AC to get more people at the bar or something. Still had an awesome night, though, but I can imagine not everyone will like it.

I need to keep the fella happy too, as much as he's a sociable f***er he isn't really into the dj's/different club nights etc where as I'm salivating as I scroll through the party calendar planning out definites, maybes and definitely nots. As long as we do one of the gay events at the big clubs and a night at Anfora he's generally happy to go along with where ever I want to go. I did have to seriously compromise one year though when he wanted to go to Avicii, was honestly the worst thing I've ever experienced
