Paradise at Dc10

The thing about DC-10 is that it gets so overcrowded due to the fact that the garden closes at some point, or in the case of paradise doesn't have music at all. They don't take that into account when they sell tickets, and treat it as if some people actually want to pay 50-55E just to come stand in the garden.
For that reason, they need to either have an act that is very hard to catch somewhere else or have one stellar line-up, before I even think of attending, and this just doesn't have neither.
The only time I've been to paradise was 2015 closing, and that was to see Jamie Principle perform, which was totally worth it to me (plus the rest of the line-up was pretty good too, Craig Richards, Midland, Ame, Capriati...).

Stivi has mentioned elsewhere that within the next 2-years(?) the venues' capacity will be monitored more vigilantly. It seems some might start towing the line this season.

I posted this a few days ago in the gossip thread:

I have some Brit worker acquaintances with many seasons under their belt who seem to suggest DC10 might be tightening up on their capacity limits... this can only be a good thing in my book.

This isn't gospel, obviously.

Yeah, but they can still argue that the garden is part of the club, even though the music stops at some point.
Let's say that early evening everything is under capacity, and then the garden closes and everybody goes in, and the club and terrace become overcrowded, i don't think that even with the new rules they will force people out...

I wouldn't know the exact details, whether Spanish/local Ibiza laws are the same as UK (or whether they're all governed by EU legislation)

But certainly in the UK a venue's smoking area could account for part of their capacity. So I guess it's likely the same applies.

But surely any improvement on over-crowding is better than things staying the way they are.

Yes, off course that any improvement is welcome, I just don't think in the case of DC-10 there will be any.
