Pacha vs Ushuaia - Clubbing options for couple in late 30s

Lots of ugly crazy clubbers on the island who shout and drink and jump around to music, I think they call it dancing (Crazy huh...)

And actually i dont think that shouting, drinking and jumping is what u call dancing..its called shouting drinking and jumping lol

Glitterbox at Space is a good suggestion that I see others have put forward, I've never been myself but always fancied it, and it's at Space this year which of course would be a great club for you to visit. I hope you have a lovely time whatever you choose to do :)

Starting to think must consider gilterbox at space...almost unanimous that it shoul be great

All my years going to Ibiza and I have never seen people harassing other peoples wives
What makes you think that will happen?

Ibiza is the one place where I have never seen that actually happen (Well thats a lie never saw it in Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain.... list goes on)

Well you must be blind then i live in Portugal and have been to Spain, the states and other places and if there is something that men actually do is to harass woman, from porky pig kind a woman to top model kind of woman...anything that has legs..so glad it doesnt happen in Ibiza..must be the only place in the world...i just do not have the patience to deal with drunken teens thats it...been there...and want to move on...so get a grip on yourselfes if you dont want to answer on this forum maybe its best you stay away..no need for insults..

This may not help you but my gf and I (early-mid 30's) are going to Ibiza in August. She's heard very little in the way of electronic music, aside from radio plays and I've been out of the scene so long I didn't recognise more than two DJs in the lines ups for the dates we're there

We already knew the dates we were going to be there, so first step for us was to listen to youtube mixes of the headlining acts from those nights. Then we looked at pictures and reviews from partygoers. That said and done, we've purchased tickets for Glitterbox at Space, and Paris by Night at Pacha. Both look like a great night out and pretty accessible music so it should suit her just fine..

You're right about the price. I think we're spending as much in 4 days in Ibiza as the entire 3 weeks prior to that in Morocco.. I know it will be worth every cent.

Good luck!

...and i'm just trying to find my spot
same highend luxury direction like LIO ... and all in walking distance from lio:
- CAVALLI
- CIPRIANI
- ORSO (did anybody already go there this year ? looks great on pics !)
- HEART (opens in june)

That's it i'm more or less in the same situation...haven't done much clubbing in the past years, decided to go to Ibiza for some beach, dinners out and moderate clubbing. The only reason i'm trying to decide beforehand for 1 or 2 clubs (like yourself) is because tickets sell out or else i wouldn't even bother and would get a feel for each place locally...maybe some places i'm thinking of going won't like and others that didn't think much of will end up liking...

Starting to think i should place gliterbox at Space on the top of the list because so many suggestions about it posted here...but also wondering if it's going to be “the trend in Ibiza in 2015" and maybe be packed?? Also considering Pacha like yourself!!

As for the prices must say i was surprised. Most good clubs I’ve been to might have a 20-30 € cover charge tops but you are entitled to 1 or 2 drinks..not really used to this 50 € per pax per club thing so I will have to be selective since I am not a millionaire!!

Cheers!!

Not free anymore...as far as I know.

Yup to get free entry in pacha you need to spend at least 120 €/pax for dinner (got answer from restaurant directly). For Guetta it could be worth it since tickets are at 90 €/pax but for others that cost 50 €/each not worth it since you'll have to pay at least 240 € for dinner for 2.

Allthough this may seem expensive, I think it's defo worth it. We did it last year for the Flower Power closing. It's an excellent restaurant. Great food and service, and a really good vibe with a DJ in the restaurant.
Don't let the negative comments on here put you off, Ibiza offers many things to many different types of people. Im sure you'll find a way to enjoy it the way you like.

Negative comments, where are they then?

Mate. Listen ibiza isn't for you pal, seriously, for starters it's full of ugly bastards, that's why people dress up and Wear masks to cover thier boat race. My Mrs,(who looks a ringer for dierdre Barlow) incidentally, was kidnapped outside pacha, bundled into the back of a camper van(flower power night), driven to a remote part of the island, and was told to partake in sexual activities at gun point such as performing in a bukkake while one of the hippies captured it all on film. While I reported my Mrs missing I was jumped upon by about 10 big fat ugly lads who stole everything in my possession. The only reason we left pacha was because everyone in there was throwing drinks in the air, jumping around, barging into people,( I'd just paid 84 euros for a vodka redbull knocked out my hand), while most was trying to put thier hands up girls skirts ffs. I managed to find my Mrs 2 days later knocking about with the looky looky men,( there big black fellas who knock around the island ready to pounce on unsuspecting individuals.) she was OK, just abit wary what with all the dodgy chang they fed her. So my advice is this, f*** ibiza pal, head to magaluf instead, defo a couples haven there mate, you can dance, chill, look at beautiful women and the drinks are reasonably priced.

Unfortunately in recent years I have had to gently tell a couple of foreign nationals to politely 'get to f***' after they were trying to dry hump my Mrs on the dancefloor. My Mrs always has it in hand as she isn't someone to be messed with, but I just like to add a further layer of aggression to these idiots who clearly think they have been taken back to the erection section in some sleazy pick up joint in the eighties.

Again it is the problem that Ibiza has created this monster where it is attracting people who don't have a clue about the music or the scene and it is about VIP, alcohol and walking about groping women.

I had to help out another couple in Pacha where a guy was harassing this guys Mrs continually with his mates. Obviously trying to look aggressive when absolutely trollied is no mean feat, but I probably look quite mental when foaming at the mouth and shouting gibberish. I normally succeed in freaking them out a bit.

This hasn't happened a lot, but it does happen and I have heard some nights are worse than others. Might just be because my Mrs is model material?

On the flip side a guy was getting a blow job at the urinal next to me in the upstairs toilets at Pacha last year which he was clearly enjoying. Took me a while to piss though as she was staring at me whilst doing it.

dirk speaks a lot of sense here. yes it does happen, luckily not very often; but I've also had situations where we had to send some guys away from our friends or girlfriends.

and I agree with dirk too re 'creating a monster and attracting people it rather shouldn't'. the longer I live here, the more I think like that.

No joke, a French geezer once came up to me at Cocoon, made his intentions clear that he was interested in me, I told him I wasn't that way inclined (granted I was cabbaged), guy kept following me around like a bad smell, ages he followed me around, trying to grind on me and stuff, offered him into the car park for a square go after an hour or so, turned out he was with a crowd of 10 or so creepy French blokes who were harassing all sorts. Guy didn't want to know but I left an hour or so later at 6am and no word of a lie, saw the security knocking nine bells of shite out the group in the car park! Almost pished my pant laughing!!

I entered this forum thinking it was a trip advisor kind of thing..wasnt really expecting comments to get personal...ok i didnt read the rules..was i supposed to lol?? so ok i understood the hard way that it is more than that and that im actually the outsider...Weather Ibiza is for me or not it is too late and i am going..would like to go there at least once in my life..i am not a clubber although would like to go clubbing once or twice...like anybody that goes to Ibiza would do..if it gets too rough or unpleasent i'll just stick to the family areas and relax because basically all i want to do is to relax and have some fun...problems and confusion occur anywhere in the world where there are drugs and drinks..i am aware of that...i just want to make sure where i go the odds are low for something unpleasent to happen..thats it. If you want to help that would be great, if you dont and want to joke around what could i do lol??
Cheers

I was being genuine and trying to advise you that unfortunately on occasion there are people there for the wrong reason these days. A couple of other people have also shared their experiences, so hopefully good information to support an enjoyable night for you both. It is also a very liberal place so expect to see things you maybe wouldn't see anywhere else, all part of the fun.

I would go with what discodotty said; Blue Marlin, Lio, Destino, Ushuaia or maybe even Ocean Beach Club. These are probably better options for you as some of the night clubs might not be your thing.

Happy to help with any other questions or concerns you may have. You will have a blast!
