Yup!

I graduated from PGE Dept. in Dec-99, and then moved to Laguna Beach in Southern California. Love it over here.

How is the "electronic music" scene in Austin these days? There was hardly anything till 2000. However, during my visit to the "Live Music Capital of the World" last year, I came across a few establishments around Red River that seemed decent.

Tall Paul

Folks:

Does anybody know if Tall Paul will be DJing in at any club Ibiza (San Antoni, etc.) between the dates of Jun-18-2003 and Jul-02-03 :?: I saw him live for the first time in San Diego this year, and it was an awesome experience. Yes, awesome considering how "controlled" a US club environment really is. I would love to see him live again in a "No Holds Barred" environment.

I just moved here in 2000, so I don't know what it was like before. I used to go out all the time, because there is a pretty good scene here, but I haven't been going out much lately (trying to save my money for Ibiza and also not fail out of UT ;) ) . Yes, there are a few good clubs on Red River for electronic music, that's where I used to go all the time when I was going out regularly.

Where are you staying in Ibiza? I'm staying at Es Vive in Ibiza Town. If you are going to Space on Sunday, June 22, you are more than welcome to join me and dance4life and anyone else who wants to meet up at our hotel, because we are walking over from there! :D

I will be staying in San Antoni at Hostel Mari. Jun-22 sounds like a plan. Let me know the time you folks plan to leave the premises at Es Vive.

By the way, good luck on your finals. The next few days will probably consist of spending long hours at FAC or PCL.

hehe, thanks, I only have two finals, so I should be alright and you're right, I'll be spending a lot of time over the next few days in the library! :rolleyes: The main problem is that everytime I'm in the library and I'm supposed to be working on my term paper, I get sidetracked on this damn forum! :confused: :) Oh well, the semester is almost over! I will keep you posted on when and where exactly we can all meet up before Space on June 22nd! It's going to be so much fun!! :D

:idea: You might want to bum off the study room on the 3rd floor (Petroleum side) in CPE (if I remember correctly, it is CPE 3.126) to avoid getting side tracked. The department is quite small, and hence, not many people over there. Being a graduate from the PGE program, I spent countless hours during my last two years digesting loads of info.

Yup it is easy to get side tracked. I am also having a hard time holding down the excitement; second time ever in Europe, first time in Ibiza, weeeeeee!!!! In addition, all my friends who have been there have spoken in awe :eek: about it so many times, that I just cannot wait. Now if I can only find out when and where Tall Paul will be playing during my stay in Ibiza, it will be awesome. Gotta see him again!

i'm goin to san an on my own cos my mates all backed out from 18 may & i'm shitting myself cos i've only been to ibiza once back in 2000...

so do u lot know each other or can i just jump right in ur blue band gang?
