No More Balconing Please

Obviously I dont know the exact circumstances and I know I really shouldn't speculate...but how many times does this have to happen before people take responsibility and stop climbing about on balconies??
Internet clout isn't gonna just show up on it's own...

Feel bad for their parents, just such a stupid way to go out.

4??? That’s just awfully sad. And raises serious safety concerns/ questions

Aside from making balcony rails actual cages to pen people in what can the hotels do?

Also im a proud Brit but id expect the stats show it's mostly British guests that end up in these accidents.

The dividers between the balconies actually make it look like its easy to climb around, so I guess people who are drugged/drunk think its a good idea, really feel for the parents of these young people, but literally scares the crap out of me for when my kids reach an age where they can go on holidays on their own!

The pre frontal cortex doesn’t reach maturity until early to mid 20s. Young people make silly decisions, plus you add drink / whatever into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.

It’s just so sad and a waste of life. I don’t think calling them twats or slagging them off really helps in this situation.

Will it ever change though? I thought this new generation was supposed to be drinking less, less drugs etc, basically not taking after their parents generation, and more interested in fitness etc, is the beer boy/lager lout image of the British tourists still as much of an opinion of the locals as it was in say the 80's? Going off topic really, but really interesting to hear what opinions the locals have of British tourists nowadays, and are any other nation thought in the same negative way? I don't think they are really, so will it ever change?

Ibiza Rocks confirming they are resuming events tomorrow, post says they have reviewed their processes but there is also an (in my opinion fair) reminder about personal responsibility and respectful behaviour.

You really need to take a good look at yourself if your reactions to a poor kid dying are a) to call him a twat b) be worried about how embarrassing it is.
you're not wrong, just curious who you are referring to.

There is CLEARLY an issue at Ibiza Rocks, multiple deaths from the same activities should be a mandatory fix for all balconies. I get it, it's hard and annoying, and might obscure views, but there's no getting around the fact that your key demographic is using your hotel for ridiculous activities.

This might be first time i've ever said this - the US's legal system is right for things like this. If this happened once, let alone multiple times, the lawsuits would be astronomical. No chance in hell it happens a second time, let alone twice in a week. IR needs to get their shit together. I hope no one else becomes a headline.

Unbelievable, two more balcony accidents over the weekend. This is truly a season of disasters.

What the hell is actually going on??

Going from pictures the railings seem an appropriate height and practically impossible to go between rooms via the balcony.

People trying to climb down or up from the pool area?🤷‍♂️
