but can sa trinxa and jockey club play music? i always enjoyed listening to the chill music at that beach.. that will be truly missed

just to clarify ! !

josé sala, major of san antonio, explained this morning the reasons why they dont agree with the new norms (basically because it affects the bars with cafe-concierto license) but also announced that the clubs with a cappacity for more than 1.500 people (privilege/amnesia/es paradis/eden) will have the 4.30pm-6am rule like in the rest of the island :!:

if for example amnesia wanted to start doing afternoon parties (imagine that ! ! ) they could not open till 4.30pm anyway.....

again: THE 12 NOON-6AM NORM ONLY BENEFITS THE CAFE-CONCIERTOS

(so that san antonio will not be affected by the new club times, as certain blog wrote, is not exactly true)

ok, so if the law is dropped for the closing parties is it just the We love closing party? or other space closing parties as well... if they wanted to change the times?

or could they have a Matinee from 12?

edit: rather a Matinee during the closing party season?

yes. most music bars along the promenade, the port, ses variades and caló des moro are cafe-conciertos. theres various in the west end too.....

you might remember that plastik for example, when it was still located in the west end and i think now also in the new location, always closes its doors around 4am while hush continues open another two hours..... the benefits of having cafe-concierto license!!

I see difficult matinee from 12 pm

I have another question.
In the first news(in February) spoke of the obligation to close the club for 10.5 hours. In the latest news(April) only puts: forbidden to be opened before the 16:30.

The law requires the closure of the club for 10.5 hours from the closing time? Or forced to open at 16:30?

Closure 10.5 hours: if the club does not open the previous night may open at 12pm. For example dc10 on Mondays
Forced to open at 16.30: something very bad :(

What is the correct answer, the correct term?

I would have to disagree. I don't think many people are cancelling their plans to go to Ibiza this year because of this discussion. Sure, it's a downer and now I've become a member of the "It was better back when" crowd, but I'm still going. In fact, I'm counting the days.

I think that people will need to experience how things go this summer before they make up their minds. I think next summer will be more of a reflection of the changes that are imposed this summer (ie if people start to go to other destinations or not).

mezza, in answer to your question and using space opening as an example, then the special rules that could apply for openings and closings could mean a midday start.

but it has to fall within the dates set (i.e. end of may/very start of june or very end of sep/start of october)
