Missing Madeline

YOu don't understand the media coverage about maddie. Regulars in this forum don't understand your Danielo coverage. It's not that difficult to understand the paralelism

What the heck are you talking about ? You read what i said wrong , i said theres no need to talk about danielo in this post !! I was not talking about Danielo some other guy said something about him that is why i replied back , saying lets talk about maddie !
You should read before you talk !

I think you may have been misunderstanding Silvia...( and forgive me Silvia if I'm wrong!) The media is going to cover what is important to its viewers and readers. This issue is important to many many people whats important to them is Maddie.. The media covers what is important to the people who read their magazines or watch their television programs.

It sounded like you were just confused as to why there was so much media coverage on the little girl.

See estefania, it's not that easy to understand what we are talking about ;)

I don't think anybody was talking ABOUT Danielo, agentundercover just made a paralelism about the media coverage about Maddie, which you didn't understand and about YOUR coverage about Danielo posting news about him, which some memebers don't understand.
Calm down before reading and talking

Lets get back to maddie now :p

Was chatting with my bestfriend last night about how embarrassing our press is in the UK. The rest of the world must laugh at us. That guy may have done nothing wrong but look at some bint from the mirror with his glass eye, and BAM his life is now ruined. It makes me sick how they can get away with printing whatever they want. grrrrr

It's pathetic. I would not wish the parents' loss on anyone, but the coverage is daft. Do you think they really want this? The Aunt visited Parliament and met with the next PM, they've started a fund, and it's blanket coverage, not to mention the trial by tabloid the guy is getting.

There's hundreds a week being blown up in Iraq and people are giving money to help find ONE CHILD.

Anyone not think there's some priorities wrong here?

of course priorities are completely wrong. Yet people can relate more to losing a young child rather than people dying in war...

Very sad :(

hello and yes Silvia hit the nail on the head - my point was the parallel between you asking why such a big deal was made about madeiline whilst making a song and dance about de bozquez.

anyhow, its irrelevant and not connected to the main topic of the thread, so we move on.

think damo mentioned this above.

it's like when people are accused of rape (e.g. paul weller) there is no come back from those accusations.

when i saw the mirror woman interviewed she seemed convincing and seemed right to do it but of course you don't know the full details.

THE Paul Weller?!!?8O

THE Paul Weller?!!?8O

yep, but he never did it. although our friend the The S*n ran a front page headline like

PAUL WELLER IN RAPE SHOCK

and the apology was on page 23 somewhere near the horoscopes saying "Paul weller was not charged bla bla bla". in fact, there was no apology (sounds familiar)

Blimey I love Paul Weller, never heard that story before.

I know what you mean though they put it in the smallest place possible and expect people to read it so it counts as an apology

Church

Is it me or do people start to pray alot more when they have trouble? If you see the news coverage you know what I mean. It seems like scandal or other problems gets people to the church real fast.

Of course they do! people use religion as a convenience when something bad happens!

Maybe they are already religeous people? Do you know otherwise?
If a church service is bringing them a bit of comfort then why not.

They are really religious - their vicar from home has even flown over to be with them last week cos they are really active members of their church community.

I don't see anything wrong with it - people cling onto whatever they can to give them comfort and if religion is helping them in some way then so be it.

Besides, noone knows for definate if there is a God out there, so if by any small teeny weeny chance there is, and you need a prayer answered, you pray dont you?
