Just tell us how it was - Summer 2007

Dates you were there- 21st to 28th July

Where you stayed- Villa on the cliffs above Cala d'Hort

Club nights visited- WLS, Subliminal (Pacha), Bora Bora.

Best night- WLS, by a mile. Haven't been since the refurb, think the new layout is fantastic.

worst night- Bora Bora - edgier atmosphere and not as busy, even on the traditional mid-WLS session.

Best bar- The villa bar - the most magical sunsets.

Best place to eat- Es Boldado - fantastic bullet.

Biggest regret- Being mature sophisticates now (well mature anyway), we thought we'd do the villa thing this year. The combination of how spectacular and remote it was, resulted in there being more private parties than visits to the clubs. As a result missed DC-10 and Danny T at Space, which was a shame.

Goin back- Got other commitments next year, but may try a cheeky weekender.

Top tip - Buy your zantac from the pharmacy, its cheaper there than from the nasty man in Space.

Where you stayed: atzaro agroturismo villas

Club nights visited: armada & renaissance + jose padillas night in atzaro lounge

Best night: renaissance!

Worst night: didn't have one :)

Best bar: i still really like the rock bar, it's a legend

Best place to eat: sa capella for dinner, like usual, and blue marlin for lunch

Worst place to eat: bambuddha grove. massive disappointment

Money spent: wasn't counting and not going to either :lol:

Biggest regret: not staying longer!

Celebs spotted: armin van buuren, nick warren, blake jarrell on BCN airport & airplane, timo maas in blue marlin, inkfish & audiofly boys in renaissance, jose padilla in the restaurant of atzaro

Going back: oh yes, though probably not this summer

Top Tip: umm... have fun :D

Also the Tuesday to be out in Ibiza town however no one wanting to go clubbing was painfull.Best Bar: Bar Zuka, Ibiza Town. Top owners, lovely atmosphere.Best Place to Eat: ooohh I don’t know its name, but seafood place on beach directly facing Es VedraMoney Spent: £1,100. Friggin stupid, did not need to be that much. i tend to do the same nowadays, spend lots of time driving around the island, eating well, sleeping well, having private parties and only going out on a couple of nights
 
Thats a good point on the Villa.

Firstly, it meant everyone sat around getting stoned looking at the view instead of getting off asses and actually doing things and talking to each other

and when people were doing my head in I had no where to escape to!

horses for courses I suppose

Club nights visited: Cream, Pure Pacha, Zoo, WLS, DC10, Eden

Best Night: Cream's terrace for music (Cassette Jam played my fave set of the holiday), DC10 for the atmosphere!

Worst Night: Dusted @ Eden

Best Bar: Bora Bora

Best Place to Eat: Coastline

Money Spent: £730 roughly

Biggest Regret: Not making it to Carl Cox on Tuesday night due to friends going home very early Wednesday morning and being bit skint:(

Going Back?: Next Summer, early July

Top Tip: No matter how bad you feel each day when you get out of bed, tell yourself if you dont go to the club today you will regret it when you get home!! No matter how bad i felt (somedays were horrific) i pulled it together and by the time i was in the club i was loving it!!
 
Dates you were there: 2nd till 15th of August.

Where you stayed (resort/hotel): A great rented 2 bedrooms apartment in Playa Den Bossa with a pool, balcony, huge roof and more.

Club nights visited: 2 x Cream @ Amnesia, 2 x Matinee @ Space, 2 x We Love Sundays @ Space, 2 x Circoloco @ DC10, 2 x Cocoon @ Amnesia, Subliminal Sessions @ Pacha, Carl Cox @ Space, Azuli @ Space, Radio One & Cream @ Amnesia, Armada @ Amnesia, Cassagrande So Fresh @ Space.

Best Night: Had quite a few actually...

Worst Night: Never such a thing in Ibiza!

Best Bar: Bora Bora ofcourse!

Best Place to Eat: If i could just remmember the name :lol:

Money Spent: Didn't make the financial calculations yet, but if taking a wild assumption so no less than 2,500 Euros.

Biggest Regret: Not attending Cafe Mambo for the live Radio1 show on saturday the 11th (but it wasn't really my fault as i didn't know it was happening on a Saturday since it's always on Fridays, and i was there on Friday the day before!).

Going Back?: Only if I win the lottery, which i'm about to fill tomorow.

Top Tips:
1) Go out partying as much as you can - that's what it's all about! Leave the things like beaches, restaurants, SLEEP (big no no), shopping, travelling, etc to when you're 50 years old and your feet can no longer keep you dancing all night/day long!
2) Make sure to do your musical 'homework' starting a few months before arriving to the island, so once you land you'll be very updated with the material that is played at clubs - a thing that will increase your enjoyment in a party by a dozen!

Where you stayed (resort/hotel): Bossa Beach Apartments - total luxury with an infinity pool right on the beach. 5 mins to Bora Bora

Club nights visited: We Love Sundays at Space and Home of La Troya at Space

Best Night: La Troya - amazing music, random sights and total debauchery

Worst Night: None really

Best Bar: Soap, Ibiza Town

Best Place to Eat: L'Elephant was totally overrated although the sushi was fantastic. Had some fab tapas at a restaurant in a square as you go into Ibiza Town

Money Spent: Around £800

Biggest Regret: 2 regrets....not going to DC10 but was just dead after WLS 18th birthday and not going to Matinee as arrived and left on a Saturday - never again!!! :cry:

Going Back?: Next year DEFFO!!!

Top Tip: Live it up as you will regret it if you don't when you get back home

Dates you were there: August 10th to 17th

Where you stayed (resort/hotel): Jet Apartments, PDB

Club nights visited: Cream (Amnesia) x2 (once radio 1 special), Carl cox (Space) and Mauro Picotto's Meganite (Privilege)

Best Night: Cream, either night, probably the first one as Eddie Halliwell, Sasha and Ingrossio were amazing

Worst Night: Carl Cox @ Space, didn't enjoy it at all, the music just wasn't hard enough for my taste

Best Bar: Bora Bora (day/night)

Best Place to Eat: Oasis english resteraunt! I admit I aren't into the big spending meals, this place did the trick for decent prices

Money Spent: Accom and Flights £395, and i spent £700

Biggest Regret: Going to carl cox @ space on tuesday instead of going over to san antonio to es paradis to see lisa pin-up @ tidy ibiza

Going Back?: Yeah of course, probably for just one week but I'll try push for two!

Top tip: Drink plenty of water through the day, and eat a couple of meals, especially before going out clubbing. Also watch out for dodgy guccis and dolce & gabanas :!:

Is that what people are selling over there? I heard about that - some sort of prescription tablets or that.

Where you stayed (resort/hotel): Florencia hostal for 2 days,, bon sol/squash for the remainder

Club nights visited: dc10, Cocoon @ Amnesia, Carl Cox & Michel De hey at Space, **** me I'm famous @ pacha, azuli at Space, Matinee @ Space, We love @ space, Cocoon @ Amnesia, Carl cox, cristian varela & Darren Emerson at Space for Carl Cox

Best Night: Matinee at Space and Cristian Varela and Carl cox at space on August 22

Worst Night: **** me I'm famous at pacha

Best Bar:

Best Place to Eat:

Biggest Regret: staying at bon sol squash :evil: .........and not getting out to more decent restaurants... I say this every year, even wrote out a sheet of telephone numbers for all the decent restaurants.. but never managed to make any reservations.

Going Back?: of course!! bring on 2008!! will try not to go in peak season though

Top Tip: well i do this every year, but hire a car... even if you are on your own the max it would be is 30 euro a day.. Split that between 2 or three people and its less than the cost of a bottle of water at amnesia!!
You can't get to places like cala d'en serra or cala mastella on a bus... or even a taxi.. every year I'm so surprised by the amount of people who have barely left the resorts or been to only one of the other main beaches... part of the whole ibiza trip is seeing the island as well as the clubbing.

Don't get anything with any unclear stamp on, like some we got that were sold as 'guccis' had likea G stamp on and some others were the same stamp but with the G sctratched. Ones we got there were ''what was expected'' were butterflys, apples, M's (motorolas) and Rolex's...
 
Dates you were there: 16 June - 1 July 2007; After being together 12 years and holidaying on the island every single one of them we had our Civil Partnership on 23 June in Ibiza and it was just PERFECT.:D

Where you stayed (resort/hotel): Hotel Osiris, San An (Bay); perfectly placed, quiet and fantastic value for money.

Club nights visited: Judgement Sundays (both weeks); Kiss Da Funk (El Divino), Bar M (Cream night) which was our hen night; Judge Sunday again (Eden), Tidy (Es Paradis).

Best Night: Kiss Da Funk and Tidy were both fantastic in their own ways; Best night of the entire holiday though was Saturday 23rd cos it was our Wedding day and we hired 2 boats for a Champagne Sunset Cruise which was quite simply the best experience we have ever had!

Worst Night: most dissappointing was our hen night (not a traditional hen nt in shape or form!) should have been at the cream opening party at Amnesia but it was cancelled due to the club closures. However we had a ball at Bar M so it all came good in the end.

Best Bar: Mambo

Best Place to Eat: El Chiringuito, Cala gracioneta (we had our wedding there)

Money Spent: including the wedding about £8k!! but worth every penny and more

Biggest Regret: None whatsoever
Going Back?: Oh yes! Next week:D

Top Tip: Already been said before on this forum...sleep as little as possible and enjoy every single minute.
