Foster the People cancel European shows including ibiza Rocks

First the bad news. Foster The People have cancelled several European shows next week including their support slot to Bombay Bicycle Club at Ibiza Rocks.

Here's the official statement from the band themselves

"We are deeply saddened that we have to cancel our appearance at Ibiza Rocks. We have been looking forward to the festival all year long but have been forced to cancel for reasons beyond our control. Please know that we are extremely eager to get back to you guys very soon and are currently working to schedule dates as soon as possible. We'll announce a replacement band - to join Bombay Bicycle Club and Radio 1's Jaymo & Andy George in the next few hours.

Delighted to announce that the fantastic Cloud Control join Bombay Bicycle Club and Radio 1's Jaymo & Andy George next week.

The Whip to support Madness In September

Yet another new addition has just been made to the stellar Ibiza Rocks bill - today we can announce that The Whip will be supporting Madness on September 14.
The Manchester trio are currently preparing for the release of their second album 'Wired Together' and where better to road test the new material than the Balearics?
The album is the follow to 2008's 'X Marks Destination' which spawned huge bangers like 'Trash', 'Divebomb' and 'Muzzle #1'.
They last graced our stage with a storming set at the 2008 Closing Party - if you were there you'll know their return is not to be missed.
So that's the legends that are Madness plus The Whip, Doorly and Nicola Bear - another night to remember awaits!

and yet another addition: rizzle kicks, who opened for dizzee rascal some weeks ago, are back on sept 7th

:!: :!:

we can reveal that Rizzle Kicks will return to the Balearics on Sept 6/7 to join Mike Skinner on what will be a very emotional farewell from The Streets.

mark broadbent (we love):

Ibiza Rocks have played a massive part in introducing new music to the island. In the past Manumission did an amazing job and I now book quite a few of the acts that they championed back in the day.

Ewan Pearson and Ivan Smagghe are two of our regular guests that I first saw at Manumission and I have huge respect for Mike, Andy, Dawn, Shane and the rest of that team—old and new.
