Ibiza Rocks @ IBIZA ROCKS HOTEL 2011

Ibiza Rocks with the Unsung Heroes

More than 200 volunteers including Civil Protection and Ibanat staff as well as local firemen and environmental workers are invited as guests of honour at the second IBIZA ROCKS concert of the season.

The volunteers have been invited to the gig, with headliners THE WOMBATS, which takes place at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, tomorrow, Wednesday, 8th June from 19.00hrs.

The Liverpool band will be joined by warm up act BROTHER as well as Ibiza Rocks Resident DJs Doorly and Nicola Bear

FENECH SOLER! Been a bit of an open secret but the wonderful Fenech Soler have joined the bill for 12 July Mallorca / 13 July Ibiza Rocks. They join the very cool Mr Mark Ronson / Jaymo & Andy George (long overdue debut show!) and Doorly. PLUS another live act still to be announced. BIG SHOW this!

AZARI + III TO PLAY MALLORCA ROCKS 16 AUG / IBIZA ROCKS 17 AUG. We love this band and the way they take 80s house and make it sound so fresh and live and NOW. When the chance came up to get them on the bill with 2manydjs LIVE it made perfect sense. Emotional electonic perfection under the balearic stars!

We can announce that the brilliant Rizzle Kicks will be supporting Dizzie Rascal on what has become one of the biggest nights in the Ibiza calendar. This year Dizzee is doing it a little different - with a one-off Saturday headline show under the stars at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. See you there Saturday July 30th!

The MAIN man @zanelowe joins @iamMarkRonson on 12/13 July! Such wonders await. We've never had them play together!

Joining them on 12 July Mallorca / 13 July Ibiza - debut sets from Jaymo & Andy George & the brilliant Fenech Soler. Love this line up.

NERO will join TInie Tempah and Maverick Sabre to DJ on 26 July Mallorca / 27 July Ibiza.

Rizzle Kicks will get down with the trumpets - and get down with Dizzee Rascal on Dizzee's Balearic Weekend 29/30 July!

Yasmin joins Example - that guy at No1 - and Sub Focus for a DJ set on August 10th.

And the amazing Azari + III debut for us at the 2manydjs LIVE shows on August 16 Mallorca / August 17 Ibiza. We love this line up.

OUT MONDAY

Ibiza Rocks needs little introduction; it's powered through six years of existence to now boast 34 live music events (Inc. Mallorca Rocks), a travel company, two hotels and a fashion label as part of the brand. Even better? It shows no sign of stopping.

Every Wednesday at The Ibiza Rocks Hotel (Ibiza) huge headliners including Plan B, Tinie Tempah, The Wombats, Madness, Fatboy Slim, and Friendly Fires, will perform at Ibiza Rocks, all supported by residents Doorly and Nicola Bear. With thousands of midweek ravers heading to the island for one unforgettable party, Ibiza Rocks 2011 has teamed up with both Doorly and Nicola Bear to bring you a fantastic double CD offering covering the 'Ibiza Rocks Pool Party' and 'Ibiza Rocks After-party'!!

Doorly has been an Ibiza Rocks regular since 2008 and his movement behind the decks is relentless. Scratching and splicing riffs, loops, beats and bass to form a sonically seamless mash-up, it's understandable that Doorly is often described as 'an old school block party DJ using new school technology'. With supporters such as Annie Mac, Tiga and Erol Alkan, to winning 'Best Club Night' for his night 'Afterparty', to launching his own label 'Pigeonhole This', Doorly's credentials have this year earnt him his very own cocktail 'Doorly's Daiquiri' at the Ibiza Rocks bar, which having just returned from a 22 date US tour supporting Rusko, is something he's most definitely going to be needing a few of!

Nicola also gained her residency back in 2008 and has very much been a part of the family since. Her flexibility and technical ability across the genres through dubstep, drum and bass, electro, party mash up and techno firmly planted in an indie base made her ideal support for acts for the Ibiza Rocks line-ups.

CD1 --Nicola's poolside selection features some of the biggest, most cutting edge bands and artists around from the likes of Adele, Jamie T, Wretch 32, Miles Kane and also features the No.1 single smash from Example -- Changed The Way You Kissed Me.

CD2 -- Heads straight to the after party where Dourly delivers a serious selection of cutting edge dance music featuring tracks and remixes from Spiller, A1 Bassline, Maya Jane Coles, 2 Bears, Crookers and Doorly himself.

Doorly commented, "Always a pleasure to put a mix together for my favourite party in the world, and this year I'm backed up by an absolutely spanking mix by fellow resident Nicola Bear! Here's to another great summer ahead for rocks and some of our best line-ups yet! Bring it on!"

Ibiza Rocks 2011 is a true reflection of the Ibiza event - a crossover of styles that blurs boundaries; an innovation, combined with a simple love of good music.
