Ibiza...is it so quiet this year???

WTF are the drinks so expensive? they must make a small fortune on the door alone? under the circumstances with the new laws / quieter times, why would they be so stupid to charge that much? maybe there all, scared of shutting down and trying to get as rich as possibe just incase

i had a very long conversation with a taxi driver about this, he said most the locals hate the fact the clubs get away with charging so much, he also said that the big clubs get their water free from the coca cola company is this true?

I was going to say ....12 euro for a !$(@$(&@# water????

FFS! reading all the negative posts this morning on the board but this is the worst!!!! Cannot believe they charge these prices for water now !!! Robbing B^%$£%^s!!!!

I personally think that the powers that be in Ibiza have bitten the hand that feeds them for far far too long. Its got to the stage now where Ibiza is just prohibatively expensive.

Its always been alot to go over there, right back in the 90's, but nowadays, it really does take the piss. 10 Euro's for a small bottle of water really is scandalous.

In a way im glad, I think Ibiza has had its time, ive been going every year since 1998, and it peaked around 2000. Every year since then something has happened on the island to slowly make it worse. You can blame the music scene, the pound, the changing attitude's, whatever. I just know it was alot more exciting to go to Ibiza back then than it is now.

Theyve ripped us off for too long. I'll still go cos I think the place has a magic about it, but whatever anyone says, the stopping of day time clubbing, the closures of bars/clubs, the hidden agenda that appears to be there whereby the big clubs get bigger and the small new ones get closed just gets worse.

Its about time this happened, i hope this season is a record low, just to show some people out there that they cant get away with charging 10 notes for water, club or not. I dont care.

What with the recession and all that, its clear that clubbers want something new, hence the renaissance of places on the red sea coast, that offer the hedonistic lifestyle that Ibiza used to have for a fraction of the cost.

lets be honest, Ibiza was once famous for being a place you could be relatively free. Do you feel that now? I certainly dont. I dont when im taking out £1500 to go out for one week in a place that, in reality, just is not worth it anymore. Its sad but true

a shame we don't have a 'find & replace' function here. i'd replace the word 'ibiza' with 'seven discos and about 20 bars'

ibiza is not an expensive island for holidays. full stop.
