I feel like I haven’t heard a thing about Hi outside of Black Coffee. I wonder how those parties have been doing.
I think I already mentioned this a few weeks back, but hï isn't in the easiest position this summer.
objectively seen:
- before the opening of unvrs, it was the 'newest' thing here on ibiza, that's now suddenly completely gone
- before the opening of unvrs, TNL made sure it was 'world's no 1 club' - that's changed as well, TNL are now openly trying to get unvrs to become the world's number one club asap
- compared to 2024, the club 'lost' guetta, tale of us, fisher and prydz to another venue
and so, even if hï still has a strong line up this summer, it's just not the most exciting news anymore in terms of a venue, plus let's be honest, the biggest artists are now at unvrs. don't get me wrong about people like dom dolla & hugel, but they're just not making the same waves as the likes of fisher etc...
and so, to reply to neo's question, I believe most parties at hï have done OK this summer, but there are a few undeniable facts:
- with the exception of black coffee, none of those parties is as packed as hï used to be in 2022-2024 (and that is possibly a good thing actually)
- from what I hear (and sometimes it's even evident when you see videos from parties), what really seems to be suffering at hï this summer (again, with the exception of black coffee) is the vip. that's not a surprise though, the new big thing is unvrs and the tables crowd will always switch to the next big thing so that was to be expected. but it makes for a pretty big change in just one year I think.
