I'm not saying it's not expensive.

FMIF used to cost 80€ when it was at pacha.
calvin harris at ushuaïa is 80€ this year.
Ah ok….perhaps I’m just getting old! Ok - I guess 80 DC10 opening v Calvin Harris at Hi looks reasonable!

Yea, I get it, but 80 is pushing it don’t you think?

I think you also have to remember that the average tourist might not have as much to spend. Then there's the question of, if a ticket costs so much more, who is the money going to? Is that extra money going to the basic workers? (I don't know the answer, just throwing the question out there!)

Well, I always pay 2 euro tip to bar staff for every drink…if everyone did that then they make quite a bit

Has anyone hear of WooMoon coming Back to The Island this summer? I'm More into their style of doing open airs... If not, any Similar style happenings in Las Dalias?

I didn't go to Eden last night in the end, but general consensus is that it was both busy and a top night

I'm still reclimatising to summer mode. The third (or is it fourth?) day of waking up with a hangover.

The catch-ups with island friends and excuses to drink will dry up soon and the real work will begin. But first Keep On Dancing this evening at Es Paradis. Tomorrow only water will pass my lips. Maybe some coffee too

Even in the few days i have been here, the island has not only gotten hotter but incrementally busier.

Poolside is pretty hot right now. I sunbathed a couple of hours 10:00 - midday, but I'm back in the shade now

Any updates on Zoo Project? I had seen somewhere that it was now at Ibiza Rocks, nothing officially announced by Zoo/Rocks themselves yet?

Of course it’s not. Private jets aren’t cheap.

For the "unskilled" (horrible and inaccurate word) workers, then they are actually able to command higher wages this year, since there is such a shortage of them in hospitality. Not that they will see the benefit much, given the cost in rent, energy and everything else is so much more.

I think the staff shortage issue is one we might be discussing lots in the coming months

Is it all down to lack of affordable housing?

Agree. And also in getting people to Ibiza too. U.K. airports have been an absolute mess the last few weeks, and it’s not peak summer yet. The likes of British Airways, EasyJet, the airports themselves are struggling to get staff.

Stansted was an absolute breeze on Friday. I land at 23:50 tonight, I’m guessing it’ll be hell at passport control then.

So pirate has said it’s 67 euro for DC10 opening, 80 on the door. Is it just me but that’s a ridiculous price and totally against the ethos of before when you’d nip down there after Space on a Monday? I get that they need cash after being closed for Covid etc. but is that not taking the piss?
Yes is expensive for sure....but they know we will pay whatever we have to, to get in

I have no idea why people pay on the door when they have presale tickets,
