I think for many people the overcrowding thing may still be a post Covid thing. I mean f**k sake busy nightclubs have been a thing forever. Maybe people just aren’t used to / or want to be that close to other humans? Personally I love it after what we’ve been through.

Anyway… can we get back to gossip and music talk… please

Only those who were there cam answer but if there was a risk of a crush and the club knew this, then there should be a serious criminal investigation. I've been in a dangerous crush before at the old Canvas in King's Cross and it was terrifying.

Also the idea that the covid experience gives businesses a 'pass' to offer poor/ripoff service is outrageous imo and will wear thin pretty quick.

Hmmmm. That’s not very responsible advocacy though is it? Especially considering the shit they have previously got into. DC10 seem to have a very short termite business model - shove them in, when they complain on social media block them and they don’t come back. But the venue is sufficiently small to just churn through new clubbers each year and rinse and repeat. Genuine question - have you ever challenged them on this and what is their justification?

I don't think the way they do it is OK just for the record. the only thing I said is that is really isn't any news that every dc10 opening and closing is absolutely overcroweded. I also wish it wasn't like that.

There can be no justification for overcrowding to the point where people are genuinely fearing for their lives. It's irrelevant that it's DC10 opening party, therefore should be expected. At what point do you think the clubs need to take responsibility and just stop letting people in?

I repeat, in no way I tried to justify their actions. the only thing I pointed out is that it is no news.

Let's be frank it shouldn't be 'same old story' though...
And deleting all the negative feedback on their socials just proves to those in the know that they are just continuing to ignore the well-being and safety of their customers. Talk about total lack of moral from the owners.

Circoloco shouldn't ignore the power of word of mouth and social media. Their time will come
 
It will be crowded the whole season. As it said before here : The people will celebrate the reopened Ibiza. This will be a unusual season. Everything was 2 Years closed. Dont forget ...

have you ever challenged them on it? They are serial offenders and their attitude towards customers and challenge is pretty unpalatable imo.

I know it’s not just them. I was at the manusmission fire and it was chaotic due to over crowding, poor crowd management systems and ingress / egress arrangements.

Amnesia looks like another disaster waiting to happen due to the flow between rooms.

ok, so just to point out / repeat I am actually no longer with ibiza spotlight, but still:

in the ten years I worked for ibiza spotlight we never had any business dealings with dc10. it's the only venue we didn't (and still don't) sell tickets for. and thus we had and have very little contact with them. on a personal level I actually also left a note on their insta (from my personal account) after the first of their 3 parties they did at the end of the last season when the organisation was also utterly crap and people waited up to 5 hours to get in. unsurprisingly it got deleted just as the hundreds of comments did this time.

Exactly, even if you did have contact it’s got absolutely nothing to do with you - after a few comments here, I am not sure why people think it’s you that should be the one policing the clubs!

If people have concerns then go and denounce them with the authorities (good luck with that!) rather than suggesting that it is the responsibility of someone that has positively promoted ibiza for the last decade.

You'd imagine would have to come down to either the authorities, council etc checking capacity of parties is correct and big fine if oversold, or demand dropping off considerably? Right now there are lots of willing customers at current prices so why would they stop? I'd be just as annoyed if I had attended by the sounds of it but can't see it changing unless the above happens?
 
Are Octan likely to announce more events or will they only be open on Saturday and Sunday's?

Also, are we likely to see the weekly breakdown for Solid Grooves soon and the Carl Cox lineups?
