*** ibiza gossip 2019 ***

They get a bad reputation, and I get why people don’t get it, but they have some good all night longs in the Amnesia main room if you stay away from the madness of the Terrace. Pan-Pot, Seth, Ilario Alicante, Ricky Ahmed all night long on a Saturday night is pretty good!
Oih, i thought it was Pacha you worked for ;)

@stivi I guess you feel the same way about Dystopia?

not really, no. I understand why you are asking that question, but I don't think the two can really be compared. even though elrow is not for me, I have huge respect of what they do. they are pros and what they've achieved on a global scale is massive. elrow IMO is also pretty clear in the way that if you go to elrow and you've been before, you know what you'll get. and even though the whole show/performance thing bothers me more than it helps, I appreciate the work that goes into it. I think I need to point this out - elrow are the cirque du soleil of the clubbing world to me right now.

with dystopia, so far I'm really not convinced. of course it was only year one for them and they need time. but the whole thing just hasn't won me over yet. it's a bit of woomoon, but trying hard to be quirkier. musically sometimes with really great artists (or should I say ppl I like), yet often I can't see a musical line. also the whole artistic/show/performance part just seems merged together oddly to me. friends of mine work for dystopia so I wanna be careful with my words, but since noobie sort of compared it to elrow, IMO we are talking completely different leagues here.

and last but not least - yeah those artists that play dystopia, I also don't need no 'special effects' to enjoy their sets. but that's just me being an old grumpy purist clubber now ;)

Well said I always ask the "elrowers" if they have ever listened to a live set from an elrow event or know who was DJing... The answer is 90% NO.

They call me a twisty f***er but as you said I think more of a purist clubber is the correct term.

Well I know exactly who's playing at every Elrow I go to. And I know a lot of people who do. I think if you ask that question in an Ibiza clubroom like HI, Pacha, Amnesia...you'll get a lot of NO too.

They have great line ups too. The past year Elrow has given me great sets by Topping, Osuna, Fitzpatrick, William Djoko, Art Department, Heidi, Dennis Ferrer etc.
But hey it's not my job to defend Elrow here. Tastes differ. And that's a good thing.

I agree there is some that know the lineups and go purely for that ( me and you) but vast majority don't. I even had one person ask me why I wasnt going dressed as an animal, to which I replied isn't that the dancers dress code? They honestly thought it was fancy dress! That shows you they simply watched a social media video and jumped onto it.

I agree with the club room statement. It totally baffles why people spend that amount of money without even knowing who's playing.

With criticism of elrow aside, I think they should get credit for actually booking some great acts, especially in club room.
They don't need to do it imo as as said above a large majority of the crowd are not going for the djs booked.

Looks like the barter system is well gone :( we brought some sink plug-ins on chains from the hotel and tinned potatoes to one of the party's years and we got treated like VIPS...

Talking of Ants, another season of repetitive tech-house on repeat for 6 hours it seems...

It's a given Oliva is gonna come back to Ants...he's Ushuaia's resident DJ pretty much lol.

Need more Butch, Timo Maas, Tanzmann, Eli and Fur on this year's lineups. Speaking of Eli and Fur, why not have more deeper artists like the All day I dream guys or some from Anjunadeep? Really don't wanna deal with Solardo FFS.

ADID (and the music they play) in ushuaïa is a no-fit IMO.

ADID should do one a month in km5
Great news, better than another season in Blue Marlin.
Can't agree more about Ushuaïa and ADID(or Woomoon) ..
