Obviously not as big news as Cocoon moving but still a loss for Pacha. Its an EDM night but on the cooler side of EDM rather than the cheesy side. Also one of the few DJ's of any genre to have had recent chart sucess.

I agree. Solveig is not a popular DJ on this forum, obviously, but he's clearly the best EDM it could be. Saw him last year at Pacha, he was just fantastic.

Great news for Pacha Barcelona, this club desperatly needs more nights like that (I was so desapointed by Pacha Barcelona last summer).

well...what I would love to see at Pacha regarding a refurb would be a nice / large dancefloor on the rooftop terrace. With the views of Dalt Villa and a nice soundsystem that would be awesome!

Real shame about Cocoon - if there has ever been a night synonymous with a club and a day in Ibiza then it is Cocoon...

I'm sceptical like you. I don't see Cocoon moving (specialy if Hyte leaves) and if it does move, not to Pacha. Privilege would be my bet. I know it's a big venue, but I guess they can joint something to put the hand on Cocoon (still a landmark).

To clear my post up: I'm sceptical the move will work, not that it will/won't happen. Seems like it's happening.

And re: DC10 still being a competitor no matter Mondays or Wednesdays, aside from the age factor Circoloco is considerably more cosmopolitan than Brit-heavy Paradise.
Half the battle with Circo is that is started earlier and people have this obsession with daytime partying, so they'd get to DC10 in the afternoon/evening - maybe even with the intention of going to Cocoon later - but end up staying for the duration. Paradise is and always has been a night event.
