I guess Sven was well looked after and well received at those +1 dates the past few years.
Let's not also forget that Amnesia have been terrible shits about taking on more tech promoters.
Still seems odd this has happened at a time when there is also high speculation that Hyte has been dropped.
Will this move work out? I have no idea. Certainly gonna be interesting seeing it pan out

The only way I can see this working is if there are some serious refurbishments at Pacha which allow at least two bigger sized rooms and a better way of trafficking people through the club. At the minute the only way in is down those stairs and I can only dread to think what it will be like in there for a busy Cocoon event.

Regardless of any changes they make it won't be the same away from the terrace - horrible news for sure whatever way you look at it.
 
Cocoon moving to Pacha.... What!!! Wow.
Proper fallen in love with Cocoon over the last couple of years, and my two visits to see it at Amnesia have been highlights of my 2016 and 2017 trips.

I don't know how it will work at Pacha, it just doesn't feel built for it, unless Cocoon is downscaling?

I'm also finding it hard to picture Cocoon (as a two room event) at Pacha unless there are some huge refurbishments taking place. Very surprising and completely heartbreaking. Difficult to see how it will work but the Cocoon team is full of experience and they won't have taken this lightly. You have to trust in them.

I didn't think of that - now that could be superb!

You are also right... Cocoon have always had their finger on the pulse and have always survived and thrived so they must have something up their sleeve. It's just a huge move and a shock to the system more than anything.

It' the only club night I'm interested in anymore anyway so not likely to change anything of my trips.
 
Think another thing to think of now is what will replace it?! Amnesia has gone from 4 Techno/House events down to 2 by the looks of it! Surely one will be coming in to replace it?

Does this leave room for Beyer and Drumcode to move in at Amnesia ... Unless Pacha has some big changes to allow for 2 proper rooms one can only assume they will operate like Solomon with 1 room meaning some residents may have to be cut.

This is truly upsetting! Amnesia is my favourite club but now there are not really any events I'm screaming to go to there! Elrow and Music On are not the only choices I want from Amnesia!!
 
If the cocoon News IS true this could probably spell bad news for Circoloco in terms of overcrowding? (Not for the promoters but us punters) With all the people who may have gone or left to go to amnesia....or maybe they will bring in the system to keep crowds at a sensible level hahahahaha not likely
 
I am still not 100% convinced.... but I said Pacha Wednesday a few pages back!

Well last September Sven played that Pacha Main Room like only one other man can.... Solomun. The guy smashed it and seemed to love the interaction with the crowd. You may all slag Pacha off, but for a DJ playing in the booth on the floor I can’t imagine a more intimate experience.

My two cents... If like +1 then Cocoon can continue in Pacha until 8:30am+ with no authorities giving a damn (unlike Amnesia).

If they become part of the Pacha group they have TOX up at Destino to play an after party all day and night.

And who will ever forget how good Sven plays Destino outside...

Also.... as people said above. You have to trust team Cocoon and what they know about the changes happening at Pacha.
 
Pacha is among club that always end 7h00 am & dancefloor is quickly empty b4 6h00am...based upon ibz 17 experience :D
& it end 7h00am not a mn more :rolleyes:
even for closing party they end 7h00am except solomun+1 until midday :cool:
People still can dream :lol:...

Cocoon vs Paradise? Paradise (or Heart Ibz) by hundreds for me :) , just hope their closing is not same day at Paradise closing sept 26th as im still curious.

Sad if I the cocoon rumour is true.
But looking on the bright side they would have later closing times :)
 
If Cocoon is going to be Wednesdays at Pacha what happens to Martin Solveig's night? Moved to a different night or new venue?
 
My understanding is that Martin Solveig will be teaming up with Together this season. This is unconfirmed and was a rumour mentioned by another member of the forum a few day ago.
