Interesting suggestion. It indeed wouldn't hurt the night. Would it inject some attention? I don't know. Possibly... worth a try
 
as much as I detest constantly seeing people on phones in clubs and as much as I like a no camera policy, I genuinely don't think it'll happen in ibiza. or let's just say I'd be surprised. I honestly think no promoter would want to renounce to the amount of 'free promo' all the instagram and facebook posts give them. that said, IMO cocoon is one of the parties where you see least phones. parties with big production (basically anything at hï and ushuaïa) attract phones like a magnet so that's where you see a sea of phones taking pics and vids. less visual production you provide, less you tempt people to grab their phones.

ps. it's an announcement kinda day today! :)
 
See I'm in the boat of not really minding phones in Ibiza! Its my holiday, that I save all year for, so I want to go home with some pictures and videos to remember it all by!

Considering my brain isn't lets say at full capacity its easy to 'forget' large chunks! Being able get home and look back over how good your whole holiday was with all your mates again is a very nice feeling!

Also watching these videos and seeing other people who are already there is what gets me most excited to keep going back! Every Tuesday morning on the way to work I would search 'Cocoon' on Instagram and watch it all unfold counting down the days till I could return!

I'm glad mobile phones didn't exist back when I was at it like it was going out of fashion. Last thing I would want to see is pictures of myself in all sorts of states on holiday. Have a few great pictures from Manumission etc, that are kept in a drawer somewhere. But the internet is forever, once your pictures are posted, they aren't ever going away. I pity the kids now, who I guarantee will look back one day and wish they hadn't posted those 5am selfies. Not all progress is a good thing.

And Cocoon, best crowd on the island, all ages, all nationalities, all there for the music, they will follow wherever the night goes. Keep the faith etc
 
Black Coffee opening on 26th May is also Hi opening this year then... that's an interesting move to say the least as they do normally go all out with their opening and closing lineups.
 
Hmmm. I think it's a good call. Black Coffee line-ups were underground and will appeal to the demographic on the island over that weekend, without breaking the bank in artist fees. Much more refreshing than going for an Ants/In The Dark line-up imho

where did u see that?

i don't have good memories of Hi Opening/Closing & Black coffee opening too :D (i should stay at elrow opening at amnesia leaving place at 3h00am)
Heart Ibiza closing was far better, always sameboring big names at HÏ, i hope they will change...
Don't have memory about Heart ibiza opening 17....maybe too soon i think...im meant b4 may 18th....
 
i was looking at BC coffee last year, june 3th

Maybe the guests at BC were better than him as no way to experience his session again.
a pity elrow was same day as i was curious to see yokoo,Salomé H S (i think he was at Resistance) & LB
The thing about Hi , it s quiet empty b4 1h00 and it empty quicker around 5h00am
ps:Wild corner is always a good anwer :cool:, it was a busy day : jockey club, BMI with Ernest & Frank , elrow opening then BC opening with no mates, didn't really have time to eat :lol:

Should have gone into the club that night Captain... Lee Burridge being given an extended set is not something to miss!
 
I will give the Black Coffee night a go this year. As has been said, sometimes some interesting Room 2 DJs. Hopefully that stays the same this year.

I assume we can expect no change to Ants and Ants at Night (In Tbe Dark) this year? Same old rolling generic tech house over and over and over?
 
i will think about it this year , as no way to do same parties the following weeks

eg no more glitterbox , neither Elrow each week...i have to confess im getting little bored of them :lol: not because its not good but from week to week i want to experience other things...

Agree. However, those Elrow Main Room “all night longs”have some good line ups some weeks..... and no crazy Terrace production!

Hopefully this remains the same?

wait until you see this year's line ups. I am bored of elrow's concept by now, but I think there will be a few dates I'll have to go anyway!

aren't all clubs in Spain dead until 1.30-2? I sometimes don't finish dinner till midnight!

in more up to date news, am a bit confused because I'm sure I saw somewhere that Henrik was taking a hiatus from DJing to focus on other music but RA seems to suggest otherwise.
