Timos Mass line ups out.

Roman Flügel booking is nice and DJ hell the date I’m on the island but think I will be going to Underground for Barac

I hate to say it, but I can’t see this night being anything other than a flop!

Not that I don’t like it personally or the bookings, but up against Resistance, Togher and Prydz I see this struggling hugely! I know it’s sometbing different...but I don’t think it has enough pull personally.

Yeah I agree I can’t see it filling out either and it’s right in mid season as well like you say against resistance it will really struggle to get the numbers in.

can't support a friend there aug 31 that jut announce his booking, when u got Carl cox at Privilege, even not a fan of the big man, unless price is 70€ (some dj working for Resistance told me he will help me  as 70€ is out of budget)+ i will choose free party at sankeys :p
R Fluegel, pure edm shit heard at space opening last time

Personally I'd hate it if anyone plays that in a dj set. but I'd never attack and want to 'ban' DJs from performances for playing what they want. Sven played Madonnas La Isla Bonita and everyone was like 'haha, what a nice moment, great'. when a younger DJ without a big name plays kylie it is suddenly bad? It's just a matter of personal taste if you appreciate a pop song in a set, but the DJ doesn't HAVE to please you. I don't like a Kylie or Madonna song in a set but I find its f***ing ballsy of a young dj to do that in front of a huge crowd !
If you like Kylie Minogue then fair play to you, sure it's for some folk but not what I would want to go to DC10 and hear personally.

Judging from some other replies I don't think I'm alone in thinking he should be banned.

Well said. I was there, It's not for me but the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. A heard a few people say "Only Denis Sulta would get away with that" so I think he has a reputation for being a bit weird and ballsy
I actually used to enjoy listening to certain people on this forum discuss music, sets etc. I've taken many a record from this forum, bought the vinyl, taken it to partys and passed it off as if I found it myself.

If "ohhh only Denis Sulta would get away with dropping that" is the new gold standard then I'll be leaving this forum.

Also Calvin Harris for 3 Tuesday’s in August. Different crowd I know but Tuesday is looking very competitive all summer for different events.

Tuesday 21st August in particular sees a ridiculous amount of competition: Calvin at Pacha, Carl Cox at Privilige, Prydz at Hi, MK and Disciples at Amnesia, Dmitri Vegas Like Mike & Steve Aoki at Ushuaia and Craig David at Ibiza Rocks during the day. I know it is peak season and lots of people on the island but that is a very busy day!

FWIW there’s 1 or 2 decent kyli-e moments (eg the chems take on slow, tom middleton’s can’t get blue monday out of my head), i hazily remember sasha played another one at fabric and the whole room went nuts. But the clip in question sounds pretty grim. If you’re gonna drop diva vocals, approach with caution..

I think the difference is now Denis sulta is known for lock n load or playing random 'classics'. Hes not known for his essential mix or any other mix

Yes sven and others do it from time to time but it's rare and a special moment/occasion

Not every set

Carl Cox bores me too tears but he is very popular
Depends on the set he plays. He is so varied in his skill. Catch him on the harder sets - blows my mind. Catch him on a minimal set - boared to tears. His birthday at space revolution was insane. Perfect build up to a perfect BPM. Relentless. Danced my ass of!

Dixon before him, fairly high BPM but far too high pitched. His music gave me brain ache.

Haha woaaah I said I heard people say that, not that I thought that! I did enjoy his set (minus the Kylie!) but it wasn't a patch on Bicep, Capriati, Jamie XX. They were the reason I went, I only watched Sulta because I liked his essential mix

I used to love him few years ago when he had his night at space, but it's the last few years he has started to bore me ha
