Before he had a reputation for dropping "classics", Sulta was being touted as the next best thing. His essential mix from a few months ago is pretty watertight.
He's an odd one though. Complains about people using phone at his gigs, but I'd argue with his rep for dropping a token piece of trance he is actively encouraging that kind or behaviour.
I don't think you can judge a DJ on 1 track selection. Then again, it's all relative. Even Moodymann got mauled for playing Kings of Leon.
It seems that everyone is now trying to be a 'selector' and play a set across a wide genre, The Black Madonna, Troxler, Jackmaster etc... but I can't see how someone like Denis Sulta (whose real name is HECTOR) has the music knowledge and experience to fit into that category and like you say, is known for doing the kind of stupid stuff that people love to film and expect him to do over and over... Hopefully this whole fad disappears
