Aye it worked for him at the very very start playing lock n load blow ya mind but then he was playing it in every set and similar tracks that made me cringe tbh, but this takes the biscuit he must be taking the piss

It's music for pissed up fresher students, Circo booking him is baffling. Only way I can fathom it is if they are trying to attract younger people to go but it's mobbed every week so doesn't really make sense

Did anyone see/hear what Jamie Jones and co dropped at Circo Park life to close the night? Thought it was very cool

Maybe there is a pattern in the Circoloco circle
 
@stivi Don't suppose you have any more info on the 8pm opening time for Amensia on the Cox night? I'm guessing by the amount of DJs listed it will be he main room open from 8pm and the Terrace opening later?

genuinely don't know yet. but I'm sure closer to the time we'll know more.

I saw his name on a few line ups but really noticed him in a clip on insta during which he was ‘dropping a 90’s banger’ and beneath the video were comments like ‘omg awesome’ and ‘I love the 90’s’ ... obviously those commenting were new to the club/music scene as the 90’s banger happened to be Lock n Load - Blow ya mind. Lol.

Personally I'd hate it if anyone plays that in a dj set. but I'd never attack and want to 'ban' DJs from performances for playing what they want. Sven played Madonnas La Isla Bonita and everyone was like 'haha, what a nice moment, great'. when a younger DJ without a big name plays kylie it is suddenly bad? It's just a matter of personal taste if you appreciate a pop song in a set, but the DJ doesn't HAVE to please you. I don't like a Kylie or Madonna song in a set but I find its f***ing ballsy of a young dj to do that in front of a huge crowd !
 
Kolsch played Kraftwerk at Hi Radio 1 last year to a large majority that likely had no idea... I only knew of them as my Dad used to play their tunes when I was a only just turning a teen
 
How was circo loco yesterday? Eagerly anticipating the line up for 2nd July. What do we think will they try and compete with Carl Cox?

Well said. I was there, It's not for me but the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. A heard a few people say "Only Denis Sulta would get away with that" so I think he has a reputation for being a bit weird and ballsy

Appolonia, Sante and Jesse Callosso already confirmed. I had planned to do Circo then to Amnesia after midnight but thinking of just going Amnesia earlier now with the early start
 
Before he had a reputation for dropping "classics", Sulta was being touted as the next best thing. His essential mix from a few months ago is pretty watertight.
He's an odd one though. Complains about people using phone at his gigs, but I'd argue with his rep for dropping a token piece of trance he is actively encouraging that kind or behaviour.
I don't think you can judge a DJ on 1 track selection. Then again, it's all relative. Even Moodymann got mauled for playing Kings of Leon.
