So it is safe to say afterlife is moving to Hï
Hard to see how it isn't now. It has essentially been confirmed but not confirmed for a month or so and this is just another factor which points towards them moving. I actually think it will be great as they can push the production even more in the main room at Hi.

I also find it amazing that these sort of things end up websites likes this. Is it just eager agents/managers putting things up without thinking?

I think Hi’s production could really complement the party. I mean look what they did for Prydz, really cool stuff.

Now if they can take all those vip booths to increase the dance floor space and get rid of the Vegas vibe, we’d be on to something.

The best solution would be for Privi to enlarge Vista, but then they’d also have to pony up the $$$ to keep the party.

Agree wholeheartedly in relation to the VIP booths. Unless you are in the first 1/3 of the dance floor you can barely see the DJ booth.

yeah of course.. just a genuine question one to another
It's a live music experience so you want to be able to connect with them and see how they interact with the crowd. Otherwise you may as well put a pre-recorded set on in my opinion. I just felt hi was pretty soulless when I was there and that was amplified as I couldn't see the DJ.

Problem with that is you have to wade through the other two thirds to get out. Especially annoying when they have an exit entry point front left that they won’t let anyone use. Circulation around that room is atrocious and an accident waiting to happen.

That Exit was open for Space closing, was great going from car park straight to front of main room or to cut through to the raised bar area on the right of dj booth

This!

Id be up for trying something like this, and it does work in certain environments. However I also believe it is a DJs job to work and read a crowd and 'entertain' them.

Take Carl Cox for example its his energy and passion that gets a crowd going just as much as the music does. But then you go to somewhere like Fabric and the DJs are not the focal point. Everything has its place and I do believe in Ibiza the DJs should be interacting with the crowd to some degree.

Doesn't bother me if i can see the dj or not, if the music is good in my eyes (ears) then that's all i need, seeing someone pressing buttons is for me, unnecessary. The whole ''dj up on a stage'' thing is a bit laughable in my opinion as well but hey, everyone is different.
