ibiza 2019 observations

I noticed that they didn’t have any shading whatsoever along the port (at least when i was there)...used to like just chilling and watching the world go by there but would be somewhat hot in peak summer
No shade is to shop undesirables sitting there all day..

Trust me, these snobby elitists in Toronto would be applauding this move.

How are the bouncers going to determine harassment vs. a guy trying his luck?

Without trying to sound like an elitist snob, if you have ever had the good fortune to go out with a group of good looking women, you will experience first hand how relentless the harassment is in certain places (the worst, by miles in my experience, is Hi). It definitely doesn't happen everywhere and obviously, there is a balance to be struck, but it is rarely just one guy trying his luck. All night you end up with lecherous dudes hanging around, waiting to make their move making it, being told no, then still hanging around. All whilst other guys do the same as if the girls are prey to be stalked. As the night goes on and dudes get more sideways, it only gets weirder.

Saw a Stalker in Pacha who was a little intrusive. The bouncers kicked him out very fast. Last year I Had a Strange Situation in Pacha : Im training a little Bit , you can see it, have some muscles. I wore black Shirt and stood somewhere and thought about nothing. Suddenly a girl came to me and asked for help because an Idiot who was intrusive and rude. She tought I was a bouncer. Went to a real one and described the situation. Big Laugh of him. He did his work , and we chatted a little. Next time in Pacha He saw me and laughed : Hello Collegue.. Last Time with black Shirt in Ibz for me

some of you might remember we did '12 clubs in 12 hours' last year. this year we'll try to top this.

here's a resume of last year: https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/magazine/2018/08/how-we-did-12-clubs-12-hours

follow us around tomorrow from noontime onwards until sunrise saturday. we'll be posting regularly on both our facebook and instagram.
(luckily it's the weekend after that because I feel we'll be pretty tired after all the stops).

and yes, we'll try to hit up all the parties that happen tomorrow!

wish us luck :)

Good luck then! ;)

Really jealous of this. As hectic as it sounds, what a date to do it as well with all the parties/lineups tomorrow. Great choice.

it will be hectic indeed. half an hour in every venue, back into the van and off to the next one. but it was a lot of fun last year and it also gives us great overview on every party that date. gonna be a special one with the swedes at ushuaïa and solomun guesting at shadows, but at the same time one of the biggest dates of the entire summer as mentioned above.

can't wait.

My thoughts about ibiza town since they reformed all the port area, Vara del Rey, etc...
I hate it, they killed the vibe, well helped I have to say about the new profil of customers you meet there.
When I discovered ibiza 25 years ago, when we got off the ferry at the same place where today these horrible mega-yachts are moored, we plunged into a cosmopolitan, living, bohemian world (the real bohemian, not the one we are trying to sell you for a long time now).
Now the port is a soulless area where tourists come to be mowed while admiring the money of others.
If ibiza was for me an indomitable gypsy with whom we dreamed to spend the night, today she looks like an old whore full of botox.
It is what it is everywhere jimmiz , we have to count ourselves lucky we got experience these places before mass tourism and gentrification!! I spent more 20 years in the alps between places like st anton Austria and chamonix!! It was a magic time and like ibiza there unrecognisable now. But I feel so lucky to have had them at there best!! Wild and free!!
But when I say to my kids it was better before they always so how good it is now!! C’est la vie

Your night consists of waiting for your Mrs EVERYWHERE, be it toilet, bar, podium ? , cloakroom, taxi ect

Sorry but I also see those same good looking girls making themselves available and wanting to be hit on as well. Guys are only considered to be harassing when they're not interested in them, I mean, it's up to the guy to figure out the signals and make moves which isn't easy in a nightclub, it doesn't really work the other way around. Obviously there's a limit to how much a guy is bugging the girl, but how is security gonna determine that? Are they gonna analyze every single interaction? Having security butt in to stop guys only feeds into the incorrect notion that sex runs one way and hurts women too.

It's different with rave music I guess which isn't as sexualized as urban music. This is really about ppl being caught with with their techno dust on the floor! Lol
