*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

Can someone post an example of this shite so I can hear it.

Is it the type of stuff thats played on Wednesdays at amnesia has that night started yet?

Wifey reports that it has taken Argentina too. :spank:

As someone who had lived in PR for 6+ years and visits regularly, its really odd hearing it abroad. It made us visibly frown everytime we heard it while in Ibiza. Funny thing is that I feel like its less popular in Puerto Rico than it used to be, or at least the kids are not as loud with it. In '05-'10 is was ridiculous... and some tunes were quite infectious (even to me).

Maybe in 20 years this forum will be debating if top clubs SWAG and Eden should host nights with Daddy Yankee and Don Omar or keep up-to-date with the new reggaeton. Pacha will struggle to fill itself and will attempt 'daytime family rave' and 'Bingo nights', while Privilege will return to being a daytime rec center. I personally will be spending my pension at the brothel formerly known as Lio, for the cheap cans of San Miguel and view of Dalt Villa (obviously).

ha

fast fwd to 2058

Grandaddy Yankee laying down retro reggaeton beats at rebranded latino super club Pachagonia where dancing despacito isn't a craze but an actual physical necessity...

So I went to Circo Loco just now. Place was rammed. Basically stayed in the main room, Damian Lazarus was only supposed to play for 2 hours but played 2.5. Some slow spots but he ended off nice with "We are Family" and he played Deep Dish- Help Me randomly lol.

Next weeks lineup is bananas so I expect the busyness to be worse. Trying to upload the file but its large. But basically its

-Amelie Lens
-Martinez Bros
-Lee Burridge
Squallace
-Tanzmann
-loco dice
-gerd Hanson
-Bedouin
-Jackmaster
Denis Sulta

!!!

Flying out next Monday & must say that Circoloco line up is right up my street - however, I am a little sceptical on the overcrowding issue.

Our plan is Circoloco, Resistance, Paradise, Afterlife & Music On in consecutive nights - I was at Diynamic takeover of DC10 & was the only night I was uncomfortable in the main room for Solomun. This is coming from someone who attends football matches & raves in London and somewhat used to crowds.

With Circoloco facing a pretty weak Pyramid in my opinion, Will this night be a total roadblock? I have read Music On is not as busy as previous summers, Resistance for Coxy's birthday in a 10,000 capacity I can imagine will be fine - can we expect a 'perfectly busy' week during peak time next week?

Yeah were there too - taking away The Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice I'm pretty happy with that lineup.

Jackmaster, Gerd Janson, Lee Burridge, D'julz etc some brilliant DJ's. Really hoping for some Gerd and Burridge garden action, but I have got a bad feeling it will be Dice closing out - although it might be nice to get him over and done with

I'm expecting a VERY busy Circoloco next week. The ideal would be Dice and Martinez Brothers on the terrace taking the crowds with a quieter main room but it all depends on the set times to how bearable that will be IMO.

Have to be back as I was really cooked 2h00am
@Nobbie Q don't forget to show up early this time such 8h00 pm and not after 11pm...

Well last night at Amnesia has easily been the best party of the summer for me. Phenomenal music, great crowd and - owing to DC10's killer 20th line-up, where I understand it was sardines - plenty of space.
One more thing: Solomun still brings the ladies! Where do they all come from? Must've been a sausage fest elsewhere!

My advice is drop a night and rest. This way it will give you more of a chance to enjoy the other nights.
You will be cooked by the time you get to Afterlife

3/4 full but plenty of space even at the front and instant service at the bar. You could never accuse it of lacking atmosphere and there wasn't a noticeable drop later on. Ultimately, I suspect they were hoping for it to be busier. But from a clubber's perspective it was great.

Sleepings cheating!

I done pretty much exactly this on my trip and felt fine. Circo, Zoo + Underground, Cocoon, Afterlife and Glitterbox, then had a rest on the Saturday. As long as you chill out and rest in the days your fine come 1am to go again!

Sound advice, but completed a week last year & made it out every night - admittedly was feeling like sh**te on day four/seven but we aren't ones for day parties & with strategic planning of different substances on separate nights it can be done!

Just wouldn't feel right staying in a night in Ibiza, inevitably the days we will be for recovery, but once mid-night comes, we will crack straight back on!
