*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

Hawtin is so marmite though. If you love him you'll go to both, and if you hate him you won't be going to Privi/wouldn't be a factor in going to DC10. And even if you couldn't afford both, you'd go to RESISTANCE to get him playing at least 2 hours in a massive room with loads of space for €40 instead of the 1.5 at a rammed Circo for €50.
 
elrow is a party for people who just started to listen to techno.

its good while its lasts, its just the first level of techno-related entertainment.

About the music it’s clear is not the best, but if we contrast it to Kehakuma I’d prefer Elrow “TBH” like you say haha. Kehakuma is good if you feel like to taking a nap ...…I am not talking about the taste, the thing I want to point out is if you say Elrow is “boring” “the same all the time” Kehakuma was the same too, even Villalobos or Luciano…but in Elrow you have an original party at least.

Where would you choose for Saturdays, Black Cofee???



Apart from that, anyone knows if you can park in Amnesia until the next midday? I’m thinking about going by car, have a previous drink, enjoy the party, going back by taxi and take the car the next day, do you see it doable?

staurdays just chill in ibiza & see whats there other the parties & clubs & get ready for the week ahead or detox from what went on during wednesday -- friday, either.

but saturday is the best day on the island to take a chilled out day.

yup 50€ on the door. 53€ in presale so use door. if you go for the full 12 hours (also the anniversary says now 6pm-6am again) it's still OK value I think, but just for a few hours it's steep yeah.

I had to explain to a colleague, whose idea of a good holiday is going to Benidorm and spending all afternoon/evening in the Black Chicken drinking 3 euro vodkas, that the steep entry fee to most clubs in Ibiza is absolutely worth it. ;)

So, if I listen to Edu Imbernon and I go to Piramyd is excelent, if I go to Elrow It is not.

Or Eats Everything…I am so lucky to have him at Paradise, the cream of the crop…however if he's the headliner at Elrow, is bullshit???

i might be wrong, but the age group @ elrow ibiza is a bit young.

i got nothing bad about the night, i really enjoyed it a couple of years back & the environment was pretty good.

but will i do it after all those years in the techno partying scene? i dont think so.

but ill do cocoon or music on or afterlife just as an example.

the scene & the environment is unique for el row & it has its audience - and they are large in numbers.

just an opinion.
 
It’s all personal preference. For some people production is a big part of the night. Others not so much. There is no right or wrong way but what nights like el row or prydz offer is choice. Personally less is more for me. I like a basic room, low ceiling, very little lighting but that’s not everyone’s idea of fun so el row offers them something a little more energetic and visual
 
I wouldn't put anybody off going to Elrow if they haven't been before.

Iv been twice and I enjoyed it the first time at space, not as much at amnesia.

Its not somewhere to go for a musically journey which is why some people look their nose down at it. It is what it is, mostly tech house with 'big drops' it's suits the party/props environment

But personally I wouldn't go again unless I was with a group of others who really wanted go.
 
I really can’t stand Elrow - but the only one thing I would say is sometimes there is a great act in the main room ANL and it can be worth attending for that.

The terrace however is to be avoided at all costs!
