*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

Do afterlife. You won't be dissapointed
Thanks....3 weeks to go....

I actually booked and went ibiza in June as stupidly thought and hoped that Afterlife would be on! of course it was not and then I booked to go ibiza one night just to go afterlife hahaha will go Afterlife closings too

Iv said it before I think it would actually be a good marketing move for a promotion in ibiza to ban cameras. I think iv will happen.
On a similar note celtronic festival starts this week in Ireland and this year they have made a statement on a no phone policy on the dancefloor, Gerd jansen playing this Sunday too :)

Quick one for you......do you think that the sound of an era can help define the drug of choice at that time?

For me, the Tech-House era has been the era of Ketamine, and that kind of bassline and simple set structure almost falls in line with my experiences of that drug. Any thoughts?
Yeah. My thoughts are Tech house and ket are welcome to each other

That's really weird. I guess they want ppl to discover the party on their own or don't want any incriminating evidence to show up anywhere
I think it’s more about djs not wanting sets recording. This is becoming quite an issue for some of them due to the quality of new technology emerging, especially when they are testing new unreleased material. Bootlegging remains a problem as it did in the 90s but very new tunes are open to much more exposure now.

Another place where being on your phone is very frowned upon is Room 2 at Cocoon. Even the professional photographers are not welcomed! Might go some way to explaining why this is working really well, especially with the locals.

They should just say “no photos / video in room 2”. Go on Pacha.... Dare you....

Bouncers are catching people taking drugs on the dance floor and then telling them if they want to stay in they have to pay 50 euros
Oh Lol.
Well I did saw the bouncers walking around yeah...but if there's one place on the island where absolutely everyone is wasted from drugs...it has to be DC10.

I may be wrong and was absolutely mullered during these years but you never got this hassle when it was the Hells Angels that ran the door at DC. Used to remember seeing loads of motorcycles in the car park and was sure they ran the door. Now it seems to be full of Eastern European fellas. Certainly wouldn't fancy having a row with any of them to be fair

Yes it is all Eastern Europeans and they are becoming a real nuisance. It happened to me last year. He wanted 50 euros and to take all my stuff. I had pills and Mandy and wasn’t prepared to give it up so I said I will give you 70 if I can keep it and he said yes. Problem was handing over 70 euros left and bad taste in my mouth (not from the Mandy) and after that my buzz for the night was completely gone.

What I would add is it’s this sort of behaviour from security that leads to what we see happen at fabric a couple of years ago when those two young lads died. If younger people are worried of a shakedown and having to pay to stay in they will start double dropping pills in the cab on the way there not knowing the strength of what they are taking
