The seaweed is collected from the beaches early in the morning ...
It is a wonderful ecological fertiliser for the soil and has been used on Ibiza for centuries to improve the soil. Did you know that seaweed contains over 60 trace elements, it contains nitrogen fixing properties and creepy crawlies who love to devour your vegetables and plants loathe it !!! And it is free !!!
The leftovers are given to the pigs who love play with it ...but especially love snoozing on it on a hot summer's day!!! :):cool:

They used to do that in the Island of Ré in the 1950's to fertilise the soil in the vineyards. Now they have stopped doing that and waste à lot of money on buying artificial fertilisers ...

in recent years there is a new movement to just push it to the sides of the beach in spring and push it back at the start of winter storm season to prevent sand erosion.
 
I am currently on the run way in mallorca as my flight got diverted from ibiza. Plane made two possess and couldn't land. Plane wobbling and shaking and people freaking out. Hopefully off soon!
 
Johnny Vodka is holed up in his hotel in PDB at the moment unable to get to Sankeys through the torrents :oops: .... September finally arrived !! It should all have blown over by Ants closing tomorrow ... :cool:
 
Was at space last night, terrace and El salon closed most of night due to them becoming swimming pools. El salon dj booth became no-op. Also pretty much everyone coming in got shoes ruined due to having to run through water/sewage (it smelled) lake outside.
Rather glad I went 15 mins earlier as missed getting wet! ;)

Rest of sat forecast is some rain but clearing up 4-5pm ish. Hope so as aim to do zoo!
