Hotel discussion thread

It might just be me, but does anyone else find main travel websites (uk) have lack of board options?

Looked at garbi ibiza & spa, but jet 2 only shows b&b and tui shows half board with no option to change to full/ai.

I'm guessing if did get b&b you could upgrade when getting to the hotel.

You could do. Different contracts between Tour operators and the hotel determine the board / rate in place. Honestly, l really can't understand why you would want to go HB/ AI on an island like ibiza with some fantastic restaurants. In saying that, food in the Chill Beach Restaurant at the Garbi has great food for lunch. God B&B, spend the upgrade cost on local restaurants instead

Yeah fair points, the hotels seem to have full board or ai as options, just not tour operators offering it as far as I can see?

I usually go FB/AI so have option to eat and drink whenever eating solo on my timetable, without hassle. And eat out when we wish to.

I'm also on boring food which buffet self service type things are better suited to.

lastly I'm more of an eat to live type person than live to eat as well 😂

AI/Buffet is the best option when on a meat-based, high fat/protein, low carb diet.

It's the only way to survive a holiday.

I think you spelt cake and donuts wrong 😂

But yeah this is true.

Anyhow will keep looking, not been on hols for a few years, ibiza for 3, but crikey prices for 10 days is like buying a nearly new car for some hotels.

It usually costs so little extra to be AI in most hotels, it's worth it for drinks, morning coffees and the odd meal when in a hurry. For family holidays, add in 5 ice creams per kid per day:lol: . I wouldn't not eat out at restaurants on the basis the AI hotel offer is already paid for.

100% with kids.. The monsters can eat 24/7... Especially with ice cream involved.. I agree for drinks etc AI is ideal..

Assume the owners paid for this as I've also read articles about them being told they cannot open (they are) due to the place clearly not being finished.

Lots of very mixed reviews with people saying it still resembles a building site (it certainly seems that way from the roads around) and is far from a finished 5-Star.

No availibilty. Thanks though.

I've booked the cheapest I could in San An as a solo, as I'm not planning on being there apart from sleeping. Vibra Calima - stone's through from Golden Buddha. Appears to be clean, which on a non-family break is all I need.
Anyone stayed here of late? Starting to think it might be a bit lively for my 51 year-old self!
