 apparently just scandal is looking for a venue for next summer after their not-very-successful experience at babylon :!:
apparently just scandal will do sundays at el divino :!: :!:

this would mean no more milk'n'2 sugars, at least not on sundays.....

 today diario de ibiza reports that pacha has bought the warehouse casino de ibiza is using at the moment as the provisional casino (opposite the gesa power station). apparently pacha plans to maintain the restaurant and turn the games room into a club :!:

DDI

jade jagger in the brandnew 2007 pacha-magazine:

"pacha is the iconic ibiza destination.

it has maintained its glamour and diversity
from the cherries to the original finca.

pacha has remained true to its heritage."

sasha:

"... pacha being the most beautiful venue on the island
that captured the spirit of what ibiza is about ..."

this casino-thing they could use for people who prefer
rnb and hiphop

pacha without the original finca and white stonewash is just not pacha.

I am with da gregsterr on this one michael.

pacha ibiza is the original. any attempt to recreate or 'new and improved' will be a pale imitation. sure it may be a brand new club which will stand the buisness in good stead for the next 30 years but it will never have the charm, quirkiness and beauty of the haphazardly grown up finca.

just look at the improvements at Space. sure the new terrace is modern, sw@nky, great sounding etc but it has undoubtedly lost a little of the old places's charm

Friends of the Round Table

Dear Friends,

We have a problem. The bar we know and love; where we have partied, celebrated, held wakes, held fund-raisers and gossiped is now under threat. The buildings on either side have been demolished for re-development and in the process a gaping hole was put in the roof and rubble covered tables, chairs and floor and as bad luck would have it, it rained before repairs could be made. David set to and had the bar open for business again only to be advised by the site foreman that the building may have been rendered unsafe. The crowd of us in the bar at the time had just "one more for the road" and left.

And so…The Round Table was closed and a sorry sight it was when next a few of us visited. The ladies loo was occupied by chunks of plaster and rubble and the beam over the bar was supported by four rusty ackrows.

The Round Table remains closed to this day and appears to be on the endangered species list. There is some dispute between David and the builders and no mention of compensation, but the fact remains that the bar needs repair and refurbishment and David´s sole source of income has dried up. He has made a denuncia against the builders and therefore needs funds for legal and professional advice. We regulars have formed a committee to raise funds and would be mightily grateful if you, dear reader, could make a donation either at the office of the New Ibiza Sun or the Fishermans bar in San Antonio. Help from the New Ibiza Sun´s UK and European readership would also be greatly appreciated. We will acknowledge all donations and a list will be published. Please Help.

Bill Inglis
The Committee
