Glasto

It pains me to say it but we failed in the re-sales so this thread will be somewhat painful to read now, however I cant 'unwatch' it as I just love to see everyone's stoke leading up to the festival!

The Beat Hotel @ sunset is theeee joint! Had such epic times there last year!!

Yeah unfortunately I work outside. I'll still be checking the link daily from
May 6th on the off chance i luck out hard!

I was the same last year, checked it every 5 mins for three days. The ThursDay I was out and about... Missed it!

I read his auto-biography a few years ago. Fascinating life and career. I recommend giving it go
bought this before I went away over easter, had been wanting to read it for ages, but you gave me the push I needed, cheers for that :) was a crazy story, he'd lived enough before he even started playing music, highly recommended !

looks good. i'm not a fan of Silver Hayes area though, i prefer Beat Hotel and the Block 9 area. hopefully a lot of those names will be making other appearances over the weekend, that's normally the case

Have to agree. That whole area has never been properly thought out. The new elements brought in over the last 3 years just havent been nearly as inventive or imaginative as Block 9. But overall I find it hard to settle there. The track down the centre as a walk through from the Other Stage to John Peel is a pain in the arse.

yeah same here, it just feels like a walk through more than an actual area. and I'm not a fan of the Sonic stage design, the sound along the sides is awful, because it's long and thing its mostly sides! may have to deal with it for Henrik Schwarz though!

Regarding Silver Hayes, other than the blues it could be at any festival. The WOW tent got too busy last time and the sound for Leftfield in Sonic was very poor. Thinking about it the volume on the blues was too quiet as well. Didn't go last year but apparently the entrances/exits have improved.

Looking forward to Hacienda classics opening the pyramid :)

holy christ, check out the Glade lineup!

Lovebullets moving from Shangrila area then.

yeah, think Shangri-La is gonna be a bit different this year so it doesn't get as much traffic. tbh I'm happy with that, won't need to leave the Glade area at all with that lineup

Yeah they've done a lot down in the South East corner to ease the madness. Should be a good move plus more central for daytime stuff. Anyway, should certainly be an interesting few days in June!
