Glasto

Anybody on spotlight trying this year??? Honestly can't recommend Glastonbury enough to anyone thats not been. Ive said it before and i'll say it again. No other place in the world has the 5 days of hedonistic mayhem that goes on at Glastonbury. Nowhere.

Yes! This will be the second time I've tried and I'm pinning next year on getting tickets!

You wanna be trying tomorrow night and Sunday morning dude not next year  but good luck trying its a hard job but if yer organised and just try try try IT should work out haha easier said than done i know. My advice would be for sure try coach tickets tomorrow night. Give yerself just that little extra chance and option.

Nah I mean all roads in 2017 lead to Glasto!

Problem with coach is you have to board the coach to get your tickets? They don't arrive as seperate items?

Also 4g (or 3G) devices are a good bet to get through. Last 3 or 4 times we've got tickets has been through ipads and and iphones (other mobiles are available ) but aye they seem to get through a different way than a PC or laptop. But again it can just be absolute pot luck haha

Haha i thought you meant that haha. Yeah you don't get the ticket till yer on the coach but theres so many cities to go from and it does take a lot of stress out cause its on bus and simple journey there. Bristol coach is a good one to go from cause its just next to it really we used that last year but we travelled down from Edinburgh Tuesday and stayed over night.

Will say too, this weekends ticket sale isn't the know all end all. Theres the resale and other smaller 'under the radar' resales. Ive missed out in the October sale before but got in May but the problem with that is waiting till May to know yer gonna be going or not.

Yep will try again, missed last oct because a friend couldn't find his registration. Nowhere in re sale with about 15 people trying, then sat watching the secret sales mon-weds every 2/3mins, out of office thurs checking ever 5mins and missed the 40 second sale:eek:

Fingers crossed for Sunday

If we miss out on this I am booking Dekmantel in Amsterdam. I've got kids so realistically could only get away with one long session in the Summer!

Never been but I'll be having a bash at getting tickets with a few friends on Sunday. Not getting my hopes up as seems as though it's a bit of a lottery but if we get lucky then great.

On a side note, I hate having to coordinate and organise getting tickets to a festival like this so far in advance, sucks the spontaneity and freedom out of it. I wonder what those original free-festival folks make of all this.

Totally agree with this but theres always pro's n cons. A massive PRO with this is the people that get tickets are are all people so desperate to be there cause they got up that Sunday and managed to get through in the half hour they're for sale haha. Other festivals never usually sell out which tends to UP the riff raff attending with tickets always being on sale. Its the old Charles the bouncer for Glastonbury, if yer names not down yer not getting in.

Like last year I'm landing from Ibiza the night before the ticket sales date a shadow of my forma self praying I don't shoot my alarm (like last year).

Last year was the weekend with of the year for us! (Friends scored me a ticket) - Can't never NOT attend again!!

Only 6 out of our 30 got tickets in the coach sale yesterday so its all out attack on Sunday morning. The mate of mine who got through last night got through on his iphone and all the rest of us used laptops really. Make of that what you will but maybe might help folk for Sunday.

Ha! Never thought of it like that, good point. I just wonder about all the older hippy-types and druids, do they get some sort of guaranteed ticket each year or have they swapped the dreamcatchers for a superfast broadband connection?

Every year we people watch (especially at the Stone Circle) and look at some and say 'how the hell did you get a ticket, you don't even own a computer haha' but a lot of the crazy characters and hippys are people who have stalls/friends of folk who have stalls in the green fields or part of the crazy lot that put together the naughty corner.

none of us got a single ticket last night and that was about 7 of us trying! Will try sunday morning as well
