Giving birth...

On the back of this thread....

There seem to be a few fathers on the Spotlight board (Congrats to you all)
BUT other than Saffy (aw I miss Saffy - she was great) are there any mothers who post on here (other than the mothers of furry kids with paws! )

Just a thought..........

That mental bird who lived in Ibiza and wanted a babysitter

I went on her website the other day - got a lovely recipe from it....:?

Weird though that that's it as far as mother's go on this board....... :?

Tbh tho (and yes this is very sexist) if I had a baby my lifestyle would change 100% and things like Ibiza/clothes/fake-tanning  /Barrys would be way down on my list of priorities so I guess mums haven't got the time to waste talking $hit like we have :?

Yeah I figured that - (can you imagine how hard it would be to be sensible mostly every day) - that scares me - the thought of being responsible for a little person....... I am hardly responsible for myself - I need Phil for that....8O 8O 8O 8O

But does this theory work for mothers only?

I imagine fatherhood would also make you voluntarily boost responsibility and sensibility levels... something that I'm not quite ready to do! Less clubbing, traveling, etc.. better use of financial resources (the little buggers need clothes, books, university, etc!), time spent doing very different things. All scares the heck out of me, not because I wouldn't adapt easily, but because I don't quite want to change just yet.

Props to guys like Grego, et.al. for taking on the responsibility and still finding time to 'ave it on occasion.

But having a baby doesn't involve leaving your work, so if you work you can surf if you can surf you can spotlight. Si? ;)

Definitely books John. Although you can tell them one from the Morbyd/Bordym annals at bedtime:lol:
Why bother telling them stories at bedtime? If they're like you, the mere presence of a bookshelf nearby should lull them right off to dreamland!

i don't mind admitting that reading a story at bedtime to my terrors, whilst they cuddle me, is the happiest part of my day and the thought of doing it makes me feel warm inside. :D :D

If I was going to have a baby the one single bonus that would come from it would be that I would be a full-time ladieeeee of leisure

You've got awefully soft for a scouser :spank:

(That's really sweet, grego ;) I can see where you're coming from)

YOu really don't have a clue of what's having a baby, do you? 8O  ;)

 I would tho, if for some reason I had to have a baby I would give up work straight away I found I was pregnant (I mean you don't want to harm the unborn baby on a busy tube do you  ) and not go back til the kid was at least 18  Every cloud has a silver lining and all that  ;)

You would could call it 'Cloud' and people would think you were being poncey a la Coldplay bloke and Gwennie's 'Apple' and then you could explain that no, it meant that even this terrible little bundle of puke and poo had the silver lining of being able to doss about at home with impunity!
