Films....

Saw King Kong yesterday on TV, and honestly can't remember it being so unquestionably awful! Acting, script, special effects, all a poorer sibling to the original...I turned off after Billy elliot picks up the tommy gun to shoot the giant cockroaches off the othery guy :lol:
 
Forgot to say....

Last wednesday, the GF and I went to see 'Bad Teacher' ....good film generally.

It is what it is on the adverts really. Just an easy watch film with not alot to it really.

Great film (tho not watched in a while) - ending always leaves me with a lump in my throat.

I got the BBFC cut of A Serbian Film on order. Thought it worth a bump at £3.99 and it's one film where it sounds like the cut version will be enough. 8O
 
oh also....i had heard about this Human Centipede film and knew it was a f**ked up film but never really knew much else...

On route to Malvern on Saturday night the BF enlightens me as to what this film is about....

Lets just say the motorway nearly got a covering of my food the night before...jesus, what sick f**k thinks of that sh*t (scuse the pun) let alone make it into a film 8O
 
The first HC film apparently is pretty tame gore-wise. The idea grosses people out, but I don't think you actually see that much.
 
picked up a copy of The Girlfriend Experience for a few euro heard its worth a look..did any spotlighter see it?
 
Watched the BBFC cut of A Serbian Film tonight and was surprised at how good and 'serious' it is. Reminded me of a mix of the three Davids: Lynch, Fincher and Cronenberg. Pretty dark, disturbing and brutal even in that version. I was surprised to learn that they ran an uncut version past lawyers and they found nothing that might be considered legally obscene. TBH, now satisfied with the intentions behind the film, I could probably take an uncut version (apart from the fact it's pretty much a watch once film). The yukkiest part was probably the most natural part: a woman giving birth. 7/10
 
I have watched a woman giving birth 3 times twice for my son and once by accident this lady started to down load in the park with no one else around. I called the medic and they got there just after the head came out. It was terrifying ny shirt was soaked with sweat and I did not even know it. The mother and baby ended up fine thanks to the medics, all I did was say breath push. Note to self avoid pregnant ladies outside of a hospital.

Started watching new version of bad lieutenant having thought it could not possibly measure up to the Keitel one. Impressed with what I saw and deffo going to watch it all next weekend.

It's a great film. You really can't compare it to the po-faced, miserable original anyway. The remake's more like a whacked out, surrealist comedy. Only thing it keeps is that it's about a bent cop who likes to do loads of drugs. :D
