Films....

The missus sat me down to watch "black swan" the other night and i can honestly say im glad she did. Not a fan of the ballet or any arts in particular but thoroughly enjoyed it.. Its still on the sky planner so i plan to view the scene where Mila Kunis drinks from Natalie Portmans furry cup over.. and over.. and over..

Not the best, not the worst:

Watched Hanna the other day. Cracking film.

Also caught up with several other (old) flicks over the hols, the best of which have been The Hurt Locker, Watchmen and Candy. I actually thought Candy was going to be Hard Candy, but instead got a cracking film about drug addicts starring the late Heath Ledger. I instantly thought it was better than Trainspotting or Requiem for a Dream.

Watched this last night;

Was "Hereafter" pictoral link vanished!

Some quite sad scenes, a very definite 5/10, watchable but not overly memorable.

Watched 500 Days of Summer last night. Great film. At the start you think it's going to be a romantic comedy, but it's really about how you cute girls can seriously mess with a bloke's head. ;)

Saw 'The Artist' on Friday. Really liked it. Charming and different.

'Shame' on the hand, watched last night and wish I could get that 2 hours of my life back.

Shame's by the guy who directed Hunger, so I'm quite keen to see it (though if it's similar in style I can see why some people wouldn't like it). Most reviews are good...

I watched Limitless also did not have clue about it from your review. It was a good, I watched both versions and the alternate ending. I also watch source code, Vic didn't review this one was totally lost;) The movie was ok wait for the cheap DVD bin.

Watched Limitless last night, good storyline, film could have been a whole lot better but overall 7/10, and enjoyable. Having read the book, the film / plot was somewhat spoiled knowing a lot of what was going to happen, the ending was far different from what I remember though:idea:

Saw 'Goon' the other night, really enjoyed it. Doesn't pretend to be anything other than fighting on ice, plus I'll watch anything with Stifler in.

Saw this at the weekend:

Was strangely captivated by some of the scenes, peculiar storyline but ultimately quite enjoyable 7/10.

Moneyball (2011): Good story (building a ML baseball team on stats), but never really got going & the ending was pathetic. (6)

The Other Guys (2010): Formidable cast... some funny moments, but not great. (6.5)

Too Big to Fail (2011): Based on the Lehman's collapse... very watchable throughout. (8.5)

Margin Call (2011): Another film about the '08 financial meltdown. Had too many reds pre cinema and can barely remember it. Seemed to start well... will watch again. (?)

The Inbetweeners (2011): Didn't disappoint... several funny moments. (8.5)

The Tourist (2010): Good action packed film... Angelina Jolie a little wooden. (7.5)

Hanna (2011): Too many drinks pre cinema. The ex wanted to see it... nastly little blonde thing who tries to upset as many people as poss... quite apt. (?)

(? = can't remember enough to rate... )
