Pretty forgettable.

Recognisable characters doing loads of gear and being geezers. Will probably remember it mainly for all the coke scenes doing my stomach in.

Saw a great Pedro Almaldovar film the other day "Habla con Ella" (Talk to Her).

Great film, slightly disturbing but very thought provoking.

What film is it? I can't see the pic.

Turnout.

East London geezer knocking out a bit of this and that to raise the holiday money for his first holiday with his missus. She's an office bird, he's a dole-ite. Weed deal goes wrong so he moves to gear to recoup his losses. Cue he and his mates doing loads of gear, dodgy east end pubs/clubs etc etc

Now a really good British film. How had I not come across this before?

A Room For Romeo Brass (for JV's benefit if IMDb pics don't show)

also Dead Man's Shoes by the same director (Shane Meadows) fantastic - but very grim - film

Seen most of the Shane Meadows stuff, including the two mentioned above. DMS quickly jumped into position as one of my favourite films of all time. (Yeah, it gets increasingly grim, but it's shot through with funny and/or touching moments.) Get the soundtrack too, if you don't have it already.

I got sent a link to an uncut Human Centipede 2, so may watch that at the weekend. And Sigur Ros' concert film Inni, should it turn up in time.

Saw 'In time' yesterday at the cinema and to my surprise it was actually very good, well for somethig with JT in it anyway  clever concept so a satisfying watch.

One of them films where, once you have seen it, you have seen it, not a film you wouldnt mind seeing again, in my opinion anyway 8)

You sick JV

I watched the 1st 5 minutes the other night and I'd be surprised if it's actually that disturbing (despite some of the sick acts I've heard about in it). For a start, the villain looks like a midget Harold Bishop... I predict a few 'ugh!' moments and a fair amount of laughing.

It took me a second time to really 'get' it. First time I was expecting something more in your face, but it's actually quite a subtle film. I love PC's performance for that reason. Someone like De Niro (even in the early part of his career) would have gone more over the top, but that performance feels so natural. Toby Kebbell's too.

Paddy considine plays that part very very well and i thought gary stretch was good too, the scene where he spikes the kettle and then kills them all is brutal and brilliant.

And i honestly didn't see the twist until it happened.

Me neither - although im officially rubbish at spotting the twist in most films!

Watched this last night. Still thinking about the fact they used able-bodied actors for roles that could have been filled by actors actually in that situation. Or could they?
