Do you actually enjoy the music at El Row? Or do you just go for the free stuff? Genuine question

Review from last night (September 09). We were looking forward to this like a hole in the head. We agreed to take two female friends that had never been, so to be honest I assumed it would be so busy that I'd let them see the first show and then leave.

Maybe because my expectations were so low we all actually had a great night. And it was no where near as busy or "oi oi" as I expected. From what people had said I expected it to be Cocoon 2008/9 busy! Would love to know what the British / Spanish / other spilt is, but feels so much more British than it was a few years ago.

On the Terrace the DJ booth is in opposite side to normal. Crazy from crowd flow perspective, but all the amateurs stay at the front so after about half way mark up until the two corners where the DJ booth usually is, there was always some room (as Uncle Stivi indicated above). Also, I noticed that the edges were very busy as if people stuck there as if they thought the dance floor was too busy..... but actually the floor was less busy that the side bits at times.

In terms of the music. Pre 0400, the Terrace music was just the usual repetitive rolling repeating stuff that you get at multiple parties (i.e. Elrow, Ants etc). It does the trick, but I could probably DJ it. Now onto Eats Everything. Now usually (a bit like Jamie Jones) I avoid him as he attracts the too British crowd in Ibiza (you know what I mean). However, has to be said he played very well. He managed to really take the tempo quite slow at some points to calm the crowd down and then worked us up again. I gained a lot more respect for him.

As the night went on and the spectators left (and it really does get quieter from 4AM) the main room was actually busier than Terrace by 6AM. Brilliant vibe that actually not seen in there for a while. Ilario Alicante was fantastic. By 6:30 the classics like "Man With The Red Face" were playing which at that time of night I needed.

Overall, while yes there is a lot of forced fun and from 2-4 unless you know the spots to stand it is damn busy. But still a pretty good night.
Randomly came across your post. Found it so useful, thank you! Now it's an actual option to attempt entering this madness lol

And Richie is really good! He's one of the reasons I didn't put this party as a 100% no Bc he's playing the whole night and in the main room.

But question to everyone else, I saw someone write somewhere that they paid an extra €20 to go upstairs on the terrace. I always thought that wrap around balcony in the terrace room was for people who buy tables. Am I understanding correctly that there's an option to enter that area for the extra 20 without buying a table? This person made it sound like they paid the additional 20 while already inside the party. If this is true does anyone know how this works? Where do you buy this while already inside? Just trying to be mentally prepared what to do and not stand there confused like deer in headlights in all the chaos.

Ok so it's the "VIP ticket" so this person made it sound like she paid extra after already being inside and wanting to go upstairs but you're saying it's same as any advance ticket. (Thanks for note about closing party I'm looking at the one before that)

Ps never knew or would assume amnesia had a dress code. I'm not a guy but good to know for friends, thanks.

vip tix allowed u to enter the area up the stairs thing a regular tix wont allow u, price 100€ for elrow, 80€ for regular one, so it worth for people that cant deal sardins effect

i ve noticed u are not a boy, i was asking at same occasion as i forgot wot the bouncer told me about dress code
No tank top, sure.
Long trousers required , i dont remind, but i guess as when leaving the place i was telling myself no way to dressup in order to go to a warehouse, event vip part of warehouse...

Thank you very much Fallenangel for all your information. I was wondering to come after 4:00 as I used to do when it was in Vista club especially if the party finishes at 8:00.
But maybe it's pointless if everything happens at 2:00.

1h30 enter amnesia with presale ticket in order to split the rammy crowd, getting there b4 2h00 and enjoy the party until the end 8h00am..

when it ,was at vista club, ibz 12 i enter privilege at 8.00am :D & was not waiting for elrow party but stayed there until the end..

So, where's the best spot for dancing room? Also, I have balcony tickets, do they allow us to move between rooms actually on the balcony?

for el row, on the terrace, as you walk in, the best spots are the ones in the far end of the room - where the DJ booth normally is. either directly on the floor or then up the stairs at the two bars to the left. if it´s crazy busy just wait it out, it will improve massively after 4am. main room is normally not as rammed so you should be alright, but a good spot is always the cave to the left, sort of the one below the vip.

not sure on the balcony tickets question, you´ll have to find out.

Well that was ridiculously packed, if I hadn't had the balcony we'd have just gone home. The music was shite in both rooms (EE is so bad, how he's risen to his status is beyond me)....but the spectacle of the terrace from the balcony is a site to behold. Not worth the €100 tag though! One other thing, crowd was f***ing terrible. The brits especially.....the worst kind if you know what I mean.

Solomun tonight. That'll be more our cup of tea.

I wouldn't say terrible, but it was certainly not the best mix of people... plus entrance staff and bar personnel incredibly rude. What is wrong with these guys? You come with VIP Balcony vouchers, and you are treated like shite.

And one observation: I think it has become a sport with Spanish girls to rub their ass in your crotch and then THEY push you away for THEM touching you... Jesus Christ ... thanks for leaving me alone dancing

Thinking of going to Elrow London in August -
Did anyone go to Elrow London last year? What did you think if you did?

If you like crowds of people that didnt even know what tech house was 6 months a go, poor stage design and typical british weather, then go ahead!

I went last year and it really was nothing special, wouldnt go back thats for sure
