ElRow

I visited in June and yes there is some inflatables in the main room but nowhere near as many as the terrace. We stayed in the main room all night as the terrace was jammed packed and looked a nightmare and I'm glad we did the all nighter was ilario Alicante and he was amazing

Thanks. He's all night long there tonight too.

if you have a bit of a plan it won´t be as bad.

one, you (and hopefully the girls too) are aware it will be rammed. that alone makes it already easier

two, as always there are a few ´safe´ spots. in the terrace that´s at the end of the dancefloor (where the DJ booth normally is), the two bars to the left. in the main room, the cave below the vip. generally though the main room isn´t as bad.

three, if you get there at 2am, be aware that´s the worst time really. but the upside of this is that you know that from 4am onwards it will get better rapidly. a lot of people are simply getting tired of the masses and start leaving from about 4 onwards. the last few hours are normally actually pretty comfy.

Thanks. I always have a plan, but sometimes "circumstances" take over haha.

Am I not going to see you tonight getting crowd surfed in a rubber dinghy with ET? HaHa.

Review from last night (September 09). We were looking forward to this like a hole in the head. We agreed to take two female friends that had never been, so to be honest I assumed it would be so busy that I'd let them see the first show and then leave.

Maybe because my expectations were so low we all actually had a great night. And it was no where near as busy or "oi oi" as I expected. From what people had said I expected it to be Cocoon 2008/9 busy! Would love to know what the British / Spanish / other spilt is, but feels so much more British than it was a few years ago.

On the Terrace the DJ booth is in opposite side to normal. Crazy from crowd flow perspective, but all the amateurs stay at the front so after about half way mark up until the two corners where the DJ booth usually is, there was always some room (as Uncle Stivi indicated above). Also, I noticed that the edges were very busy as if people stuck there as if they thought the dance floor was too busy..... but actually the floor was less busy that the side bits at times.

In terms of the music. Pre 0400, the Terrace music was just the usual repetitive rolling repeating stuff that you get at multiple parties (i.e. Elrow, Ants etc). It does the trick, but I could probably DJ it. Now onto Eats Everything. Now usually (a bit like Jamie Jones) I avoid him as he attracts the too British crowd in Ibiza (you know what I mean). However, has to be said he played very well. He managed to really take the tempo quite slow at some points to calm the crowd down and then worked us up again. I gained a lot more respect for him.

As the night went on and the spectators left (and it really does get quieter from 4AM) the main room was actually busier than Terrace by 6AM. Brilliant vibe that actually not seen in there for a while. Ilario Alicante was fantastic. By 6:30 the classics like "Man With The Red Face" were playing which at that time of night I needed.

Overall, while yes there is a lot of forced fun and from 2-4 unless you know the spots to stand it is damn busy. But still a pretty good night.

good review mate. one thing though - eats everything wasn´t there last night.

elrow Ibiza - We are very sorry Eats Everything won't be with us tonight but our friend Richy Ahmed will take his place. We hope is nothing serious and you can make us dance again very soon!

EE on instagram said he had to cancel all his weekend gigs because of a family issue.

Was it definitely eats everything that played? He put a message out yesterday to apologise for cancelling all his weekend bookings including Elrow due to a family issue. Maybe he turned up after all but if not it might explain why you enjoyed that set if it wasn't actually him.

You beat me to it stivi

Interesting that they switch the dj round. Sounds like a nightmare to me having it that end with the bottle neck from the main room. Had a friend go a few weeks ago he'd never been amnesia before so he just assumed that's the normal layout. He come away saying worst club ever for that reason. I've told him to come back with me for cocoon and he will say different

HaHa. Who was playing at 0430-0600! Maybe that's why I was so surprised at the set then haha.[Edit..... just saw]. Well that explains it. Well Ahmed was amazing.

Good review, definitely lower expectations makes a big difference.
How many times do you really look forward to something just for it to be an OK night, whereas some nights that are unplanned etc turn out amazing.
Can we safely say elrow will be back at amnesia next year?

Feel sorry for EE, that was his only terrace booking of the summer for El Row despite him saying how much he loves the terrace. I guess that is the problem being a DJ you can really trust to do an all night in the main room.

Well I wouldn't feel that sorry, he's got himself a set on the Terrace for Amnesia's closing! Better than a standard Elrow set

He's down to play the Elrow closing via his booking agency.

I'm assuming from he's feedback that this will be another 'all night long' in the main room.

Well not too sorry.... but you know what I mean. In fact it was probably the Ibiza Spotlight interview that he mentioned it?

I have done 2 elrows in Miami, 1 at Electric Zoo in NYC, 1 at Space Ibiza and 1 at Amnesia a three weekends ago. I have to say the Amnesia show was SOOOO packed. I love elrow to death, but cramming 4000+ people into two rooms is next level lol.

It felt wayy busier than any other Amnesia show I've ever been to, to include Music On. Maybe if the stage was on the opposite end from the entrance things would be a bit better.

Hi everybody,

Can I please have some feedbacks, information?
I plan to go to Elrow with some lads on the 23rd and I was wondering at what time the party really starts with the performers the confettis and all the inflatables? I did my first Elrow at Vista club few years ago and we came at the venue at around 3:00 following the advice of a seasonal worker and it was perfect time as by the time the party really started at around 4:00 till 8:00 with I remember some free fruits and proseco at the end.
Then I have been to Elrow at Space and it was different. First of all it was really packed then the performers came around 3:30 but I left the club at round 5:00 and I did not see any inflatables or big confetti drop. So what about Amnesia? And until what time are they pushing the party?

Many thanks
