Coffeetime said:2million visitors go to IBIZA every year! 700.000 of them being from Britan! now of course I dont have the stats for how many dont come to party but I can imagine and so can everyone else! most of them do!!!
stephen said:coffeetime. the majority of ibiza's visitors are not clubbers. the ratio is about 4 to 1 and if you have any doubts then a simple piece of mathematics may help to prove this.
let c be the number of clubs
let a be the maximum attendance in any one night
let n be the number of nights they are open in a 3 month season
then c x n x a = the maximum number of clubbers in a year if the clubs were chocker every night (which they are not)
Coffeetime said:I thought most people were partying.. when ever you see on here, tv, etc. you only hear about all the parties all over the island ...
but I guess the families really out number the parties..
thanks for pointing that out.. no one else did..

The most popular resort areas were the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean coastal areas. The Balearic Islands generally accounted around 34 percent of the number of nights spent in Spain by foreign tourists; the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada, stretching from the french border through Barcelona to Tarragona, accounted for 22 percent; and the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz, extending from Almería on the southern, or mediterranean, coast to Ayamonte on the Atlantic coast at the Portuguese border, accounted for 12 percent. The distant Canary Islands attracted 13 percent of Spain's foreign guests, and Madrid received an 8 percent. Cultural festivals were instituted in Santander and Madrid in an effort to increase the attractiveness of these cities. The seaside resorts continued to dominate the tourist industry, despite a considerable effort from the government to stimulate interest in visiting historical and cultural sites.

you didnt say that at all - that's what i've been saying!
you said that clubbers outnumber other tourists, that most visitors to the island take drugs etc. and i pointed out to you that this is incorrect. debating is fine, saying you've studied something for 3 years to validate your point, when you clearly havent is a bit bizarre!
even now you still say Silvia is wrong? but the text you have posted doesn't show she is wrong!![]()
(ps. deleting posts that have been quoted is pointless!!![]()

the number one place tourist visit.. right?
but this passage from the government website says its not! in fact the balearics are..
I said that drug users are in higher number than others to the island..
I ment to say that in the club scene of iBIZA becuase this was the foundation of the debate.. so I meant to say was..
the drug users in the clubs. out number the non drug users in the club.
now of course I am only guessing.. and I am happy to be corrected..so I dont go around thinking otherwise.. this is just what I have read..
and deleting posts.. well I was trying to delete this debate from my mind hahahahaha so it did make me feel ok for about 30seconds.. 8)
