The roof terrace was closed last friday, yes.

But as I wrote in my post above, because of everyone now being able to use the outside area downstairs (past the bar and the toilets to the right of the dancefloor), I didn't mind.

I agree, but the terrace at Pacha remains the # 1 chill zone in Ibiza and my nights out there are just not the same when it's closed.

have you been to the outside garden at all? I think it's actually even nicer than the rooftop. and that says someone who's spent many a night up there.

I actually discoverd that area last Sunday, but we did'nt go. For whatever reasons, we always hang around on the other side of Pacha (funky room side). I'll give it a go next time for sure. Looks great.

out of interest, does he still play the classics? (stuff like Rodamaal, Where We At, Phuturebound etc) - I'd probably lose my shit if they came on!

haven't heard him play any of that lately but then again I've not been there every week.

Dixon has said in some interview I read somewhere that at one point in the year around March time if i remember correctly that he doesn't play anything that he has previously played prior to that date and only plays new stuff, he called it a kind of ''re-set'' (tying in with this india trip he does every year, can't remember the name given to this ''thing'') so very unlikely that he plays those classics that we know and love anymore at all

he played Phuturebound at 2 of the last 3 Time Warps, so it‘s always possible i guess

still such a brilliant track - and the original release on Z records wasn't too bad either!

I can understand why DJs have love/hate relationships with classics (much as bands do with their biggest hits) but nothing unites a room quite like a familiar chord teased in.

Yeah but thats about 90% of the set. Last year at his all day long set he played Save from Frankey & Sandrino and god what a moment that was so yeah he plays 1-2 classics in his 3+ hour sets.
