Cream Ibiza moving to Hï

All Cream care about is flogging the most amount of tickets, they don't give a toss about anything else in my veiw.
I think after Mo left Cream.. the booking policy was probably not as forward thinking as it could have been.. still its a premature death... a sudden pull of the plug by Cream's owner... Live Nation ..the world's biggest concert producer not interested and with no patience in a club night if it not bringing in significant money

The music in Cream has been awful for years. Trouse / EDM.

Cream was great years ago but it’s reputation was getting worse each year.

Can’t say I agree with this. Depends on who you go to see but when Aly and Fila, Suckley, PVD, Omnia, Kearney play I have never heard any edm or trouse.

I know PVD can be a bit cheesy at time but I never experienced it at Amnesia.

A&B are EDM / Cheese trance. I used to be a huge A&B fan mate but a number of years ago they stopped playing the eurphoric trance for the crap they play now.

Cream been having rubbish on the terrace for years. Fat boy slim etc

I used to go to cream year in year out but stopped a number of years ago. My music taste did change but I generally think it’s had its day. They needed to change their image of lineups a few years ago

I have never really been into A&B to be honest more the harder stuff and never really bothered with the terrace either.

News on Cream Ibiza ending after a 22 year club night run... thoughts /news on the new Thursdays at Amnesia.. likely Do Not Sleep / Darius Syrossian / Abode club night?

Since this discussing was getting unwieldy on the main thread... :)
Clearly the end of an era in Ibiza. Not surprising when everybody on this forum is posting that they did'nt go to Cream for years... At peak, was it the most popular party ever in Ibiza?

Exactly. Just because a few big names have strayed from trance to follow the money doesn't mean the whole scene has gone that way.

The trance room at Cream has seemed pretty packed over the past few summers too, more so than what I've seen the couple times I've gone to Together and that seems to be back this summer. I think this change is much more about management decisions than it is about trance.

And sorry to hear so many of you have lost your taste for trance! I hope you haven't lost your taste for chocolate, fresh fruit, warm bread, and all the other good things in life too. :D

Didn't realize A&B had changed style! Give me their old stuff anyday though

I don’t think it’s the numbers that has hurt Cream though is it? Their closing normally coincides with our Mid September trip and we went in 2015 & 2016 and it was nicely busy. Not super packed, but 1-5 ish was busy.

Can only assume it’s a commercial decision as I can’t believe Abode / DNS will pack them in even more. Especially as they rely on ‘unannounced’ headliners on the cheap which won’t work in Ibiza.

When I've been the last couple of years the main room has still be busy. I don't venture into the terrace as it's gone too commercial.

I'd love it if Cream did a few one offs at Privi. Enough Trance headliners available to get the place busy once or twice a month. Can't see it happening though.

According to Mixmag 4% off all who like electronic music like Trance today, not like in the 90´s when it was
new and fresh.
And vinyl sales less then 1%
