But "only" 11.2k positive tests. That's a massive drop. So either testing spreadsheet is falling over again, or people can't be arsed going for tests. Or perhaps even community transmission is starting to drop.another 'great' day...
UK --> 608 deaths
italy --> 853
spain --> 537
yes I know they maybe didn't all die in the last 24h, but it's when their deaths got notified.
Dexamethasone? It's been used for last few months afaik and is helping.What happened to the drug they found that could help a big % of the very ill. I read somewhere that it could cut deaths by 60-80% I think?!
Yeah the data table shows only up to Monday (which is always low after weekend). The week on week change is up 4%, which not great, but does shows the curve is flattening ?Yes thats right, the 'actual' death rate is falling which is good news

Guess getting data from here?
UKHSA data dashboard
Overall summary of the respiratory viruses in circulation within the UKcoronavirus.data.gov.uk
Ah! Figured it out. The data has 2 sections, one reported by date and the other one you see on the news.Yes thats right, the 'actual' death rate is falling which is good news

The first one by date gets backfilled as late death certs come through and changes. The other one doesn't.
See attached, first death by cert date which will update. 2nd is one see on news. reported in last 24hrs
Edit guess need to wait 14 days for "todays" deaths by date to be correct as it where.?
Average daily deaths is around 350 at the moment. Not sure we’ll get up to the 700 mark, unless you’re talking about by date of death reported, as opposed to date of death occured.But "only" 11.2k positive tests. That's a massive drop. I think uk deaths will top out around 700 - 750 ish a day. So not as bad as 1k a day in April, but think will drop slower so we end up with just as many, if not more deaths ?
Oh sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant I think the "headline" figure will touch 700 before it drops. The average will be less than that thankfully.Average daily deaths is around 350 at the moment.
