it would be useful to have a mute function for individual threads. someone might annoy the hell out of you in one thread but be ok in another eg someone might be a font of knowledge about IBZ food, beaches, politics but talk absolute crap about music or vice versa

It does auto rewatch if you reply, used to be an option not to do that before the update.

My uni classmate just passed away few days ago. He was 26 and healthy, one of the nicest people I had a chance to work with. Don't think he planned to die anytime soon.

I don't think blocking people who's views you don't agree with would make for a very interesting conversation. Just my opinion. It's probably healthy for a thread like this to hear the opinions of everyone, if u agree with them or not. As stivi said, just ignore them. Good advice for a lot of walks in life

I know what you mean and I don't belong to any echo chamber. I've done people's heads in on here in the past (and probably still do). I'm sure a few have me muted. I couldn't give a shit either way. I find the mute function is actually very useful in weeding out people you can't actually stand. There's a lot of wildly different people on here some of whom would rather read people they connect with. Nobody has a right to be heard. Nobody has forced anyone to come on here. If you use this forum mainly as a resource for news/music/events whatever then the day is too short to trawl through crap from divs or egos.
