Just gonna leave this very unpopular view here. I know everyone here prefers to keep hearing the same and whenever someone disagrees he apparently is 'a f***ing idiot' and even mods dont react to that..... but if you like a different perspective, this article is for you.

yeah that one is on me. while I can understand discussions can get heated, calling people names isn't cool on here. I've not seen this early enough. everyone please adhere to the rules.
 
I also accept responsibility for jinxing the whole thread by saying so far iv enjoyed fairly civilised discussion.

Fair enough. Thanks for not letting this one slip, even though you don't agree with my points too. And that is fine.
I am fully aware this is a very delicate topic where discussions can and will get heated and im not trying to get into arguments because in the end we all want this crisis to end asap with less casualties as possible. Whatever alternative method or strategy I posted here, it goes without saying that is the core of it all. Anyway, hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
 
Just had a reply from Hotel Royal Plaza via Booking.com; I had booked there for June (and am still hoping to go, even if the chances are 5%)

We're offering a 12 month period to enjoy the deposit you've already payed as compensation for non refundable rates
Please, let us know your new orientative dates before original check in date

So what I think it means is as I've already paid up in full, I can transfer to another date.

Yep thats what it means as you wont get a refund if you cancel

was it with booking.basic conditions?
i got one from end september and it was just written with Agoda partner but no way to send an email except an number to call , i may call them august if ibz airport still closed for tourists.
i cant see for now, ibz letting tourists landing july, not a big deal as ill cancel all summer booking by june

Meanwhile Waitrose.com finally unblocked their home delivery and click'n'collect slots - and guess what, they're all booked up until 1st July. Chances of avoiding traipsing round shelves come May = 0 by the looks of it :lol:

Doesnt really explain why every bed in all of our hospitals are filling up with people with severe respiratory problems and we are about to open another 2000 beds at the NEC. Watching lots of people die every day, this is exactly what the media and 99% of experts are saying

Is their a blocking option on the forum? I'm a bit too emotionally invested in the situation to read certain nonsense but dont want to not use the forum (there is precious little to do as it is!)
