Interview with Scottish prof who advises Scottish gov said fines are not really a good idea, esp big ones, as it can lead to less people coming forward for a test incase they have to isolate.Better performance from Boris than the last mad speech to the nation. Actually liked that he openly questioned the doubters and didn't just ignore that anti-lockdown views are growing.
Still not convinved the public are going to take it seriously though, who is going to give all these fines out?
Yeah, I think although I improved nutritionally, I probably consumed more calories overall to compensate. But it was still a kicker doing 5k 4 or 5 times a week and not really seeing results.
Anyway for lockdown mk 2.0 I'm gonna do the Joe Wicks thingy and see if that works better for me
Maybe you were over training or training too hard and just burning carbs? I had a VO2 max test etc. done a few years ago, the report and associated charts made fascinating reading, one surprising thing for me was that my fat burning HR zone was really low (80-110 bpm), I'd barely have to jog to get out of that!View attachment 10459
I googled swedish model and lost a few hours of my day.

Sweden is the only nation in Europe that has resisted implementing a lockdownwww.telegraph.co.uk
Sweden is not doing great compared to the rest of Europe, compared to it's direct neighbours it has 12 times more deaths per m than Norway, 9 times more than Finland and 5 times more than Denmark.1) it was a joke about beautiful blonde women. I can google, no worries.
2) still Sweden is doing great compared to the rest of Europe...all these breaking news about Sweden considering some restrictions in Stockholm is not changing that.

Sweden is also a very socially distanced country in general and certain ways of life there (Like having the highest rate of adults living by themselves) work naturally in helping slow the transmission. It's a very lazy comparison.
Even if the model did work for Sweden it's not possible in a lot of countries, as a lot of socio-economic factors are completely different elsewhere. For example if the UK had gone that way we would be in a terrible position, with it first not working due to the factors mentioned and secondly being implemented by our government, with obviously more complex issues too.it's what I've been saying all the time.
as other european countries they did manage to bring infections down in summer, but the upwards trend has reached sweden too now.
