we've been enjoying the beach and people have definitely relaxed in Spain - masks mainly indoors in shops/bars. tourists trickling rather than flooding back. a few worrying signs from Lleida and Galicia that it ain't over yet though... but could be isolated pockets

Think they are isolated and at least they are on lockdown so it is contained and they will have slow reopening of things again

That's how it will have to work now, if there is a city or area with a outbreak they have to contain it to get it under control

"damn virus" is right.

the island is noticeably busier since the start of july. traffic much heavier. beaches actually quite full over the weekend. fingers crossed please!! but looking as though we might have some sort of summer after all. now, if only the government would rethink their disco plans and try to keep it safe and controlled (official venues, or at the very least outdoor ones) rather than underground and uncontrolled (private villas)
 
First weekend of the bars open here (serving food)
Went out for meal with all my mates was great to be able to do it again.
But the social distancing rules such as table service only was a bit of a pain in the hole.

Really looking forward to the gyms re opening now on Friday
 
started off in the next town along from us Saturday and ended up at our local round the corner from ours toward end of the night which is a party bar, 2 or 3 small tables downstairs the rest dancefloor / standing and upstairs booth like seats we thought it would of just been the upstairs open and maybe a few temp extra tables downstairs when walked in couldn't believe it it was rammed from up stairs to downstairs and even the smoking area.. spotted a few familiar faces so got them and we all pied it off

crazy how how such establishments are already first night in taking such risks.. everywhere else we went seemed to have put in effort to keeping tables, customers, staff distanced as much as poss though so not all doom and gloom (first pint was liquid heaven)

Waiting for the hockey season myself, so I can rid myself of this Covid Stone. Waist gone from 32" to 34" and growing....not worn anything that's not elasticated for weeks!! Grrrr....
 
Had best night for ages on Saturday, decided to give the pubs a miss and had a mate I havent seen since lockdown over for 'a few drinks' which turned into drinks plus some other things ? and an all nighter listening to chilled Techno then a lazy day watching all the Football on TV.

Sometimes the simple nights are better, and we are sociable species at the end of the day messages and video calls only fill a gap so much. 3 months of not seeing mates has become tough for me.

Where is this? UK gov are going to be laying out timetable of plans on when indoor gyms can open shortly afaik, but gonna be a little while yet before they actually open ?
