Could be a big development. If 'healthy' people know they can catch Corona and even if symptoms get bad and they are hospitalised they are very likely to survive then its pretty much pandemic over. People will take the risk and get on their normal lives.

Particualarly if we also get conformation that if you've had it you wont get it again, or wont get it anywhere near as bad.

There is still an awful lot we do not know about long term heart, lung, and organ damage. While preferable to death, chronic heart and lung disease result in significant disability - and is not something I would consider an acceptable outcome

I personally would much prefer a medicine/cure rather than a vaccine

At this scale, a vaccine is a far superior option. If you can vaccinate enough people to achieve a herd immunity, then even the anti-vax hold outs will get some degree of protection against the spread. The vaccine can prevent people from even getting sick in the first place. A medicine is only useful once a person is sick, has possibly already transmitted the disease, and requires the use of the health care system.

True or Fake? ?
Someone wrote from internal source that Easyjet will go bankrupt, and advise people not asking for vouchers but refund

torrejón de ardoz is part of madrid's suburbs - it's just past barajas airport and it was one of the hardest covid-hit spots in all of spain. the town hall decided to test all of their inhabitants for antibodies and the result is that, despite it being the spanish epicentre of the virus (words of the mayor), only 20% show antibodies.

In April, they had over 3 billion euros in cash reserves alone. They aren't going bust.

IAG (Vueling, BA, Iberia) parent company had 9Bn euros at the start of the year, was 7Bn in March so god know what it is now. But yes I don't think EasyJet will go bust any time soon

Antibody tests for staff are well under way at work, very few testing positive for antibodies even on the hot wards

From this it doesn't look likely that Magaluf and West End-type scenes are going to be allowed to develop this Season. Time to see if Ibiza can re-emerge successfully with the new image it has been trying so hard to push for these last few years.

... your wards always had enough PPE though, right ? If that was being used meticulously then wouldn't expect people to show signs of having been exposed and infected surely ?

Seems like there's plenty of illegal parties going on in the UK if you fancy taking the risk with your health. If you attempted this in the early 90s you would have got a police baton wrapped round your head!
Madness.

Now more likely to be robbed and stabbed by some 16yr old ☹ give me a baton charge any day
them north west do's at the weekend are just a highlight how many scum bags see these mass illegal gatherings as easy prey.. reminds me of an illegal rave a went to when was growing up at Druids Temple and vans full came tooled up and robbed the generators and taxed people, not worth it in the slightest bouncers may be annoying but at least you can go out without piece of mind knowing its unlikely you'll be taking a blade to the mid section

It certainly doesn't resemble the dance scene that I grew up with, sharing water and Marlboro lights with random strangers.

ive never known them days. when out with the right group there is always a sense of togetherness but I can safely say those risk free days have gone forever, even creamfields car park although 'supervised' has turned in to a breeding ground for car part / car theft. seems like for every party goer there is always an opportunist

There's a couple of party's planned not to far from where we live, a guy was left this small Manor/estate with a bigish main house and out houses that he tried and failed to turn into B&B few years ago but now rents it out to few different groups for weekend gatherings.. big green house and the lobby of the main house is where the djs play... Fits 100 like minded people comfortably and we'll away from main road and gated.. he's totally skint... Known locally are The Lord of Empty Pockets.. lol
