Ryan air cancelled our end of June flight today also, full refund applied for was fairly smooth process tbh, feels a bit better having the option taken out of your hands and hopefully we will be able to rebook for later in year with a bit of luck?? simply cannot wave in the towel yet and give up on the thought of catching that iconic sunset
 
They seem to want to restart flights to coincide with the fourteen day quarantine on return to UK - basically putting off as many people as possible from travelling for a holiday from UK

Is the 14 day quarantine going to be policed any stricter than our lockdown? Unless they're putting you up in a hotel, I can't see how it can be

Probably not - I think they will give police rights to show up / enter your stated address to check you are there and of course you cannot go to a place of work - so that'll leave professionals, self employed and unemployed free to do what they like :lol:

Probably not, they wont have the funds to do so or the manpower to check on everybody it'll be used more of a scare tactic a would of thought

I got pulled over by the coppers 3 weeks ago, boxed in by 3 cars for suspicious activity whilst driving. They didn't ask where I was going or why I was driving. They said "we get these calls all the time" when questioned why I got pulled over. It was just for something to do I believe

So knowing my luck I would say its very possible that they would check up on me at my residence atleast once.

When other countries start to relax there quarantine rules, i'm hoping we do the same.

Do you drive a flash car? I saw something about with there been less traffic on the roads so the cops are pulling over flash cars drug dealers would drive to check ??

Haha no I don't. I drive a vauxhall astra van, was on the way back from johnstones paint shop (which was closed) cheeky copper even said "I bet this has made your day" oh yes sure I said something to tell the misses when I get back. Try and do a good deed to keep her happy and end up in the back of a police car for it :lol:

In the early 2000's I was pulled over by the cops who had a little nosey round my car, and noticed a map where a number of schools (among offices) had been circled (map, remember them...???). Being a singleton driving alone, that raised their eyebrows..."could I explain this, sir??"
"Yes, I've been driving the works van all day delivering stationery for *named company* and those are our customers".
"Very good, sir, now please attend to your back light...."

You mean someone reported you were driving?
Because in the Netherlands the virus really brought the traitors out. People snitching on their neighbors for having people visiting in their home.
 
Same here . Waterford city is 10k away from the beach and alot of people cycle out here every day and with a 5k limit for few weeks local wankers were taking pictures of people they knew had come out and posting them on Social media..

No idea what happened. They snuck up on me like a ninja. Had nothing to hide anyway
