yes, i thought it was 0.90ct+/mask as told by french media, wot a good surprise unless the employee made a mistake
Edit:she made a mistake counting me only 5maks instead of 10 so 10 mask should be 5.80€ in this supermarket

i had some ordered to pharmacy, im sure price will be be 9€+ for 10 masks.

I will wear masks only if taking train/bus/metro as in France for now its only required in public transport (135€ fine) so not really dayly needing them

We don't see lot of people with mask on the streets (30% in the supermarket ive been this morning)

Front pages, meanwhile 30k+ have died and daily death rate still 600+ on average.

Also my mate been told his mum isn't likely to make it ?
I actually think the newspapers have been told not to dwell on the 30,000 figure. It’s the most blatant evidence that the UK doesn’t have a free press that I’ve ever seen. The Neil Ferguson thing was a ridiculous distraction that almost seemed planted to keep the real news and scale of the deaths away from the front pages.

the problem is though that if the media keep hinting that travel ban will ease off but the government doesn't play ball, then it's a dangling carrot so people will keep holding off until they're sure they can get away - maybe it will be the autumn before flights resume. and maybe even then they will be limited? or maybe people will give up and book off that time in the garden? I dunno. Not a massive issue for me, although would like to have made it back at some point.
Media keep saying it as they're desperate for people to get out and start buying papers again. Any easing of the lockdown is good news for the UK's gutter press (i.e. most of them).

lack of celebrity's and Z lister's out painting the town red and getting them self's into some moderately 'embarrassing situations' will be taking its toll on the sum bag press also, no public boozing / no stories to trash write up

I get people are fed up. I see next door but one lads gf meeting up with 4 of her friends outside and all that. It seems pointless to the young, but there is no way to prevent intersection of those who will be fine with those who will not.

Another friend has had symptoms for 6 days with temp and breathing difficulties. It's been getting worse with each day. Told him to get paramedics in before it's too late.
He's 29 with no underlying conditions. Its pot luck how your immune system responds.

Ps: friends mum didn't make it. Same age as my mum. 60?

This is a classic Dom Cummings trick. Every day there is a major news story he has a saved up story leaked to the press to soften the blow and take the headlines, he doesn't just do it on these occcasions though, look at the amount of 'Government sources' that have released other information in the last couple of years in comparison to ever before.
Look at the last time the professor met up with the women, i think it was 8th April, yet the story came out the day we reached a massive milestone. Also notice that Matt Hancock was in public saying the police should do their thing if they need to prosecute him etc. when normally they just don't comment. That's incredible considering the professor did not actually break the rules as the women went to his house and there is nothing in their guidance to say he can be prosecuted, only her (I know it's his fault and he clearly should have known better but i'm just talking about the rhetoric they use when it suits - they're currently in the process of trying to shift the blame to the scientists in general).
Also another note, they have given him the name 'Professor lockdown', another classic Dom Cummings trick to deflect. When lockdown is shown as being too late, to the wrong level or not long enough, he is now known as the guy in charge, i mean come on it can't be the government's fault because of professor lockdown the science guy in charge.

Rant over

Are they in a union? I think management were taking that tone at our place initially but got told to get hunted by the union. The expectation now is mainly that there needs to be cover in all areas, but also remaining annual leave should be spread reasonably over the summer months and not all left until August.

I have 10 days booked off for a Seville trip in June but expect to be able to cancel leave and spread the days out a bit.
My work like many i know are just allowing holidays to be carried for two years, I assumed this was the common sense answer to all companies? It stops arguments over holidays and in general allows it to be dispersed over such a long period it won't be too noticeable. I'm gonna come out of this at whatever point we go back to offices with 25 days and 95% likely that i have no holidays to actually go on, so no way I will use 25 this year.

The thought of 30% capacity pubs and sporting events behind closed doors, amongst other things until we find a vaccine is really grim.

Have to admit feelimg more down recently without proper gym and socialising.
