Cocoon20 - Discussion thread

Cocoon was busy this week, nice to see it in full swing but the music was repetitive shit from Klock and Nina.

where does high bpm start for you?

just to explain why I‘m asking - here on the island, anything faster than 126/8 is considered fast whereas if you are in berghain, it‘s consistantly at around 140 (and sometimes over that). as I‘ve been living in ibiza for a while now I also had to get used to this when I first visited berghain.

for me personally it‘s not so much about the BPM, I can do with a hard & fast session for a few hours - but the sound needs to stay interesting meanwhile

Every time I seen Klock he had plenty of variations in sound. Charlotte sets however sound pretty one dimensional and lack depth, she just keeps playing these cheesy acid bangers all the time :D

Yeah I can do faster than 128, but not too much. Anything above probably 136 I start to get lost.
 
That’s more like breakbeat stuff.

Helena Hauff is the only one the springs to mind. It’s not really for me.

Same. Drumcode is hit and miss for me, loving Sangiulano stuff from last year at the moment.

This type is great


But the stuff Nina/De Witte does I can end up getting disinterested
